I don't know?  Slightly crazy, me thinks. 

I was going on zero sleep and lots of stress and thought the world was out to get me last week...  completely bonked on my long ride on Sat,  Decent (but slow) 11 mile run on Sun...  More stress and my Broncos lost Monday...

BUT, I spent 16 hours of company time completing my application for a California Professional Engineers license which has been weighing heavy on me, so feel good about accomplishing that.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer (or have a theory) but I wonder why things that were SO disgusting as a kid are so freaking delishous now.

I can't imagine a kid thinking a stong espresso shot would be ANY good.  Disgusting, most likely.

that is the opposite of exciting.  i hate needles so much, i can't even be in the room when my dog gets shots.

I have to take a supplimental survey exam and seismic exam (I heard they had earthquakes out there?)...  The survey is a no brainer.  I can do that in my sleep.  The seismic is a bit more concnerning.  Not that it should be an issue, but I may have to actually study for it.

that's exciting.  are they paying for it too?  do you have to do additional testing for that?  i know my husband looked into it and there's a whole other day of testing because of the seismic design requirements in CA...

haha!  I like to watch them stick that lead pipe in my arm when I get my bloodwork down every 3 months now...  It's squeemishly exciting.

What was REALLY creepy was when I watched the doctor take a pliers and rip my tonails off when I had "black toe"...  It made me laugh because it looked amazingly painful, but I didn't feel a think because of the local then had me on...

No.  and if they new I was taking company time to fill out the application, they would not be please.  It was on the DL.  Sort of like doing bills at the office.  I figured it was the only time I would be able to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours straight and fill out all the PDF's and compose my work history.  I had to accound for EVERY month of my existance since graduating from HS.  No gaps are allowed.

Yes, but once you got it, recirprocity/comity works for any other state save NY for some reason...  I started a NCEES record so I NEVER have to do this again.  I could collect liscenses if I wanted.  Just go to the state in question, give them my NCEES record/preqaulifications, and pay the fee and get my license.

It was a donut run.

he has a NCEES record too, just california has the additional requirements so NCEES isn't enough.  he said the same thing about setting up NCEES - that at least he only has to do it once. 

Don't other states have seismic design requirements. Sure the risk is highest is CA but its significant elsewhere also.

I should have done it going from CO to NV.  Oh well.  The NCEES works so you don't have to do the history and references but you still have to take the tests...

The tests are EASY compared to the brain damage of collecting transcripts, references, license and testing verifications and recreating my entire work history including names, addresses, phone numbers of all my companies AND the individuals I worked for, etc...

I bet the test is 4 hours and I have 20 invested in the application.

Surprising to me. I would have expected something in WA and AK and possibly the states in the New Madrid seismic zone.
