Woohoo! I gotta go check out the live stream. (Hey, did you go to the Macca dinner?) Actually, I gotta go get good Mexican food first, then check out the live stream.

Go fast; he's on his way home!

Yes, I met Macca (and his baby) at the dinner, and met just about everyone else who came in the door since I was working registration.  Coach SYHG told me I looked beautiful, the TriLab guys gave me a discount, and I came home with the typical club swag.

Take CARE of yourself now that the big run is over...

Pooh--couldn't get into the live video OR audio feeds then OR now. Will have to just keep reading the updates and watch it later on NBC.

CHRISSY AND SUSAN,

Since Susan suggested doing a race together some time I was thinking you ladies might want to join me at ntelos 8K next month.  It's the same day as the Richmond Marathon but a completely different course, we never intersect paths. Mostly flat, one good down hill at the end with a moderate climb up after it.  www.sportsbackers.org Since Richmond is insane on race day you're both welcome to crash here pre race

Hey gang! Sorry for not posting any today. I've been gone since very early this morning. It had a fun day hanging out with stitching friends. One of my hobbies is needlepoint and cross stitch, so we had an all day Stitch & Biatch today.

WTG on your races, Judi & Susan! WTG on getting in your long run even after being sick all week, Yanti! Go team Bump!!!

Bump, bump!

Just doing my part to help keep our post count up!

I'm headed to San Fran this morning - leaving at 12 pm CT

Taking my stuff with me and hoping that the hotel workout facility has an eliptical, I can't tell from their website, wouldn't you thin????????

I probably won't be posting much this week because I'll be in meetings all day and dinners at night.  I'll do my best to pop in and say hello.

Sharkbait--super job! You're really racking up the miles! Yeah, Kona was inspirational, wasn't it? Actually, Kate Major won overall the Oly I was in a couple of weeks ago--a tuneup race for Kona for her. She was really humble and sweet with the people who recognized her.

thanks triaya, the runs are just feeling great...  course my swimming and biking has been lagging a little lately.  i need to get a couple solid swims and bikes in this week.

yea, kate seems like a sweetheart.  i was really pulling for Tim DeBoom, his family is friends with my wifes family so i loved seeing him back in kona.  can't wait for them to air the edited version on Dec. 1st.

course my two solid days of running don't add up to your yesterdays run of 26....   nice job!!!

as always, get out and run!!!    NO EXCUSES!!!  maybe that should be our new motto??

WTG on your half mary, Travis!

Beth - by my calculations, you're probably already gone, but I hope you have a safe trip. Enjoy San Francisco. I love it up there!

Not much on tap for me today. I'll watch a bit of football praying my fantasy team can pull out a win. I really need it! I'll also be getting out for a 2.5 mile walk/run later.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Bunny, I just looove your little emoticons! Have a wonderful walk/run ...

... and all of us, NO EXCUSES! We do just as great as we are. No need to excuse ourselves from continuing to prove that we are, indeed, athletes.

Yay for running! Hope everyone's had a good weekend. I went for a nice run today. Was gonna bike yesterday, but I desperately needed to go major grocery-shopping, do laundry and really clean up my room, bathroom, etc. Still not done with the room, which is on tap for this afternoon, so the poor bike will have to go neglected, however I am planning to give her a nice bath and scrub today - she is getting a little bit gunky.

Winter training starts tomorrow - hopefully building a stronger, faster, thinner me

Here's some more "inspiration," (so that's what Yanti means when she says "inspiration" of several good varieties ...

  1. I thought I'd give you something nice to look at. Happy Sunday.

  2. I realize the pic is geared a bit more for the girls than the guys, but these legs are so yummy they could almost be girls' legs! (Okay, that doesn't cut it. I know).

  3. Guys--this is what you will look like as you keep up the running challenge. You will also get to see many of the female variety when we win.

  4. Girls--these and others are what we will get to see when we win the challenge.

  5. I already spent September in a Speedo here on BT. I'm much more interested in seeing lots of hot guys' legs than mine, again.

Dang....that's hot.

Yes, I think shaved, muscley male legs are hot. Dating a triathlete prepared me well for this sport

I'm working on a nice pair of calves myself - I used to have nice ones from years of dancing, but running and cycling are really helping get them back and then some.

Purrrrrr is right. Thanks for sharing, Yanti! I'll try not to have too many evil thoughts.

I'm back from my run. I did 10 (:30 run/2:30 walk) intervals plus some additional walking, "bumping" my mileage another 2.7 miles. That's 9 miles this week which brings my total for the challenge up to 13.9 miles. I'm almost 70% done!

Yanti - glad you are enjoying my emoticons. I have more in my collection than I should probably admit to having.

I'll be filling out the spreadsheet tomorrow. How far ahead we advance depends on if we continue to include our missing person, who PMed me once and said she couldn't post anything or log anything because it wouldn't let her...I sent her another PM, but as of yet, she has not read it. I'll PM Cat again and see if she wants to make an executive decision.
