Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Avenging Angels kaqphin - 2007-12-14 10:43 PM Is that the stuff they give you when you first get your ears pierced? Maybe.... But that might have been benzylalkonium chloride. Both are disinfectants. BUT I don't think you want to pour benzylalkonium chloride into your ears.... It would be really good at preventing Swimmer's ear, but I don't know that it would dry the ear canal the way that ispropyl alcohol would. Ah, I know.... isopropyl alcohol is probably what they swab you with before giving you an injection. It's the stuff that feels "cool" when they put it on your arm. The reason it feels cool is because it evaporates quickly. Which is exactly what you want, in order to get the water out of your ears after swimming. |

LMAO - actually a few months ago we had work drinks and i had a swim planned for that night... I had some wine then went to the pool... it was umm... interesting... At least you didn't pour the wine in your ears. |

With the storm on Thursday and the pool only being open 3 days/week, this is my 2nd to last chance before going home! have a good weekend! GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! Thursday - No pool because of storm and it is closed (it's a school). Today - it's supposed to be open but it isn't. It's deserted. All the doors are locked. There is NO ONE in the pool area which I can see by peeking in the window. GAAAAAH!!!!! This pool is totally weird. I am not complaining because it's free to use, but it's totally weird, it's like a cooperation between the school and the city and it's completely disorganized, the hours are always changing, there are no lane lines (even though it's like, a real pool, 25 yds and everything), and when I go on the weekdays, there are kids swimming and playing volleyball all over the place, and I just swim way on the side to avoid them. BUT, it's free, and you don't get that very much, so mostly I just deal with it. But it's seriously messing with me!!! I wonder if they're on winter break already or something? I don't know. sigh. Fortunately, there is a 24hr fitness at home and if it comes down to it, i could get a day pass and just pound out the yardage after I get home. it's not hard to do, but I need someplace to swim in order to do it! Sigh. But, never fear angels, I'll get in the yardage. Let's face it, Cat could do all my remainder in like, a day, so I sure as hell better get 'er done! |

Oh no, I can't count to fifty, but I count in multiples of 25. If i'm doing a 100, i'll think: 25, 25, 25, 25, until I get tot he wall, and then on the way back, it's 50, 50, 50, 50. i find it harder to screw up that way, plus depending on which wall you're at you know if you messed up. but I can have a hard time when I swim a 200 or something, i'll be on 175, and i won't remember if it's 125 or 175. But, in the end, I click my watch and when I get home I use how long it took to figure out how far I actually went. |

If I'm on an odd number, it means I'm going "up." Even numbers are coming back. So, for example, I'm heading up the lane, I'd HAVE to be on 1,3,5,7, etc.... If I think "8", then I know I've miscounted. |
