Wow the posting has really dropped off as the summer goes on.  My race is at the end of the month and i can't wait.  I really have worked my OWS.  I think I'll be taking 10 min off last years time. - Last year i swam on my back, doggie paddle, floated and waited for current to help move things along.  Very sad i know - this year i will finish w/ my group!!!! I'm sure not all of them but at least I'll see the same swim color cap!

So still dealing w/ knee pain, starts in heal moves up along outside of cafe and lands on outer left knee.  So I google it  - plam O - lots of things i can do to fix it.

So 20 bucks later w/ new running support no leg pain until after 5 miles :>

I'll trim them up alittle more and I'm good togo.  Love that internet.

Hope everyone is holding in there.

Ok i did it!!  Rode twice to work this week, I've been trying ever since I started this a few weeks back.  It never worked as my legs where shot, or no time, or work itself. 1 trip per week.

Today however! nailed it! - I was also looking at my training log - only 13 miles togo before i hit 1000 miles this year!  I never really tracked it before, but trust me my miles where never this high!

I can't wait for chicago - 2.5 weeks and I'm starting to get excited.

Hope your day is going well - have a super hump day.

Way to go!!  What's going to be your biking goal once you hit 1,000 miles?  1,500?  2,000?

Not usually that much!  I've tried to hit 1,000 miles the past few years, but never managed to do it with injuries and marathon training.  This year I can't really ride anymore because I'm almost 6 months pregnant and worried about my balance.  Plus, it's just not that comfortable anymore.

Have a super thursday

How many miles do you ride in a season?

I have 940 miles in so far this year.  I have done as much as 5000 is years past, but I am primarily a biker.....little to no running back then.  I do have over 200 hours of "Saddle" time in this year.  My time on the spin bike doesn't show up on milage.  If you average 15 mph for 200+ hours.....pushing 3000 vertual miles..........

Just checking in.

Looks like it's been pretty quiet here.

Just an update: Been going to physical therapy 2-3x a week for my back and pelvis. Seems to be going well. I have my up and down days, but I keep grinding it out. I make sure to ride at least a few miles a day on the bike and walk a 1/2 hour. I am still restricted from running and swimming. Been doing lots of core training.

I can't wait till I feel better and get the ok from the doc. to let me loose.

Hope everyone is well and doing great!

Glad to hear you had a great time placed close to the top 3rd of the pack!

Here's what's been happening with me... after completing my first triathlon on July 9th I said, "What's next?"  Since then I have returned back down to Mexico where I do not have access to a bicycle.  Therefore, now I have been concentrating more on running.  August 28th I ran my first 10K race EVER in 62 minutes, on September 4th I ran my first 5K race in 31 minutes, and on September 11th I ran my second 10K race in 63 minutes.  Yes, three weekends, three races.  I and my running pals even made the local newspaper here in Mexico... http://www.elsiglodetorreon.com.mx/noticia/660320.llegan-a-la-meta.html  (I am the girl in the pink top.)

I hope everyone is out there running, biking, and/or swimming and having a great September!
