LazyMarathoner - 2009-07-09 12:24 PM Stage 3 done this morning, my total mileage is up to 52.94 miles, which is low because everything is so short. I'll get two more stages in this weekend, one teeny tiny (my day before race ride) and one for 56 miles! Once I get my next two week's schedule I'll adjust my goal if needed so as not to appear to be sandbagging

You'll have to let me know what you thing of the RI course.  I'm considering this as a possible race next year.  Give me an excuse to make an east coast trip.

I hear the course is good, challenging apparently. And I love RI, love the ocean so very excited to have the swim there. But I have to say, the RD is asleep at the wheel, the logistics are a total Sh*t show. They never posted the course or a lick of info until a couple freakin days ago and that's only after a bunch of us called Ironman and complained. I hear it goes off without a hitch but if it were someone's first big race I bet they were freaking out. I'll report back after.

kns57 - 2009-07-09 11:48 AM Now I'm heading out for a ride.

Where's the bike taking you today?

It'd be fun if some folks can give a description of your stages or post some pics where possible as we go through the Tour.

Here's where I ride

I'll show you my corn field, since you showed me yours.

I ride here:

And sometimes here within there:

So were those real pictures?  I pulled mine from the interwebz.  I figured all cornfields look alike.

Yup.  Real pictures.  Stopped one day by the side of the road and snapped a few pics with the phone.  They were from last summer for some other challenge group who requested some scenery shots.

I'm still sad I didn't get a chance to run in Central Park the last time I was in NYC.  I was staying right across the street.  We were only in the city for about 24 hours and we were trying to cram as much in as possible.  The run was quickly dropped in favor of breakfast.
