I have reached one of my goals (bike).  If I go over does it help?

Absolutely - you can achieve a 105% total on your overall goal...  Or you could increase you goal some...  Or both

Twas two days before Christmas,
And all through the Gym,
Only Evil Elves could be found,
Vixens & Cookies were nowhere around

The other teams were nestled all snug in their beds,
Their tummies were filled with wines... whites and reds.
When suddenly in the pool there arose such a clap
That was the Elves swimming hard, lap upon lap,

The Elves had piled up miles, of running and biking,
They had destroyed the competition, not to the their liking,
And the Elves were victorious, and it felt so right,
Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Very nice!  Perhaps your skills are wasted on triathlon - yeah, that's it, you should quit working out starting today...

Andy - I'll be sure to keep my day job!  I noticed in another thread (Vixens, I think) that you said you can't go over 105% of goal... is that true?  Thanks.

That's right...  I will add that to my Sunday update this week....  I like challenges where giving that little extra can make up for someone who has gone off track..

Wow, lots of reading to catch up on here! Should we also thank the Elves for padding our post count?

Got my run in last night and have to try to fit my ride in tonight before my parents arrive. Once they are here, the craziness begins!

skrtrnr - 2009-12-22 3:50 PM does anyone know (i should read the instructions, huh?) if i can give the wetsuit a test spin in the pool.

and how do you even get the frigging thing on.

crimeny.

can someone lend a tri chic a hand???
stacieb

I can't imagine why you couldn't try it out in the pool, but be sure to rinse it thoroughly when you get out.  You are going to sweat with it in in a pool, though.  I know what you mean about getting it on.  When I was buying mine I had to try on about 5 or 6.  That was a workout all by itself! haha

man i sure hope it fits.

i went by the size chart online.

we got this UNBELIEVABLE discount, the TRI CLUB im in.

i've heard this particular suit is AMAZING!

gonna squeeze my arse in it today and take it for a swim!
stacieb

Stacie - I also bought mine based on the size chart online because it was such a great deal. I'm waiting for Santa to bring it though before trying it on. Good luck and have a good swim!

105% you say?  Ok.  Consider it done.

That dude that said we are not in the gym is right - we have TOUGH COMMANDO VIXENS!  Wasn't it Erica running outside dodging snowplows?  and now stacie is swimming outside.  (ok, might be warm where she is, but that warm?)

This team ROCKS and I am happy, no, PROUD to call you all my BT teammates and friends.  Go Vixens Go!

alright kids - back from the Y...
Felt spry today, even after hearing my diagnosis.

Thought I'd do a mini du for the du-December challenge.

so - it was a 2 mile run with a half mile cool down, then a 6.3 mile bike on the expresso and found a hilly course to ride, and then for kicks and giggles, another 1 mile run.

I am less than a 5K at being over 100% on both goals.  (I finally caught up to Stacie!)  Lets go team!

ps - glad all this rain we are getting isn't snow - forecast is for 2-3 inches of rain.  *whew*

It has been a long day for many reasons but those little elves are quite inspirational.....went to the Y at 8:30 tonight and put 4 miles on the treadmill.

Vixens will prevail!

Decided to get my bike/run out of the way before I started on Dinner prep/gift wrapping and any other kind of running around today, because then it can easily get pushed aside later in the day, like it did yesterday.  So yeah! done for the day, now onto getting the house set up for Christmas dinner tonight.

Go Vixens!

Merry Christmas Vixens!

Got a 15 mile trainer ride and just a quick one mile on the treadmill to finish up the episode of 24... Have a run planned for tomorrow. After I play with my new toy, of course, that I'm hoping Santa brings me!

Off to cocktails... Merry Christmas everyone!

Run on the books for me today. MIght be too warm for my new tights however.  Hoping the rain/sleet/crap holds off until I'm done.  I think I'll do shorter loops near home so I can pull the plug and go to the Y if I need to.
