Was pretty windy, a bit misty, but nothing severe. Only thing of note was a large moth that flew in my mouth, it was probably looking for shelter. It may have been a small bird. |

Deep in the Heart of Texas | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? Streak ended yesterday with 34 days of 5k or longer! I decided to purposely break the streak to avoid being caught up with the streak for the sake of the streak. On Friday, I planned my training through the end of the year with running every day. I think I'll be better with a rest day each week, especially with starting Jorge's Winter Cycling Plan again. It's been fun. Good luck to all those who keep running! |

Pro 15655 | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? Got 48 and 49 in over the weekend.....both were a bit of a challenge with long weekend road trip to watch the Nebraska.Michigan football game....managed to keep the streak alive. Looking forward to #50 tomorrow. ETA - actually, it's probably better to rephrase that....it's not exactly a "challenge" to be able to get some runs in on a party weekend, that seems to diminish real challenges....but it's definately a choice to be made and get done. Regular 123 Toronto, ON | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? Apparently, there's a perfect little rainstorm coming. It did look foreboding out tonight. I was going to run anyway, but discovered I'd left my running jacket in the sink and it was still soaking wet from yesterday. My wet-weather biking gear's at work, so I couldn't run in that. I had nothing to wear for an outdoor run, and my streak was in danger - at unlucky day 13. I pondered skipping the run tonight, justified by the fact that I ran twice yesterday - a casual 2 miles with my sister, and then my week's "long run", 9 miles alone. But I am not really doing "30 runs in 30 days", I am trying to do "at least one run a day for 30 days". The "streak" would be broken if I quit. Months ago, I had purchased one of the groupon-type promotional gym memberships. Tonight, I used it so that I could get access to a treadmill, get in my 5k, and keep the streak alive. And so it continues. Also, I noted that I ran 31 miles last week (in 8 runs). I really didn't run enough before my marathon: this is in my top five mileage weeks ever. |

I'm like you, a day off breaks the streak for me. I can make up the run, but for me it's about consecutive days. I also agree that it's kind of weird how the mileage piles up with what feels like alot less miles on my legs than other times I was running 100 miles per month. It looks like I'll hit around 92 miles for October and it doesn't feel like I ran anywhere close to that. |

Muskrat and I decide early on that this was a challenge with few rules......we don't care if you do 30 runs in one day to get it done.....make it yours. Of course, Muskrat has bailed......probably sitting around drinking beer and getting fat is my guess. |

I've started a 5-6 day a week training program for my first marathon (outside of the Ironman I did) on New Years Eve. Can't wait...pretty stoked about it. I've been reading all your post's bragging errrr - updating us about your run streak continuing above 30. Way to go bud. Good luck with the 100. |

Master 2264 Sunbury, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: 30 runs in 30 days - who's with us? As long as this thread is still going, I am back on board. I stopped at 30, then did Beach to Battleship half iron. I'm back running today, with hopes for a 40 day streak to our last race of the year, the Rehoboth Beach half marathon. Won't post here all the time, but now I'm hooked on streaking. Great..... |
