Morning.  I am tired today.  Stayed up too late watching a movie that I didn't finish and working on a Christmas project.  Silly me.

Off to the big city.

Get your shopping done, Ann. (I think you should buy the stove anyway). Now that the pressure of the Christmas walk is over, I can settle down to writing cards, making baskets for freinds and getting the rest of the shopping done and wrapped. I like all of those tasks! .

Glad that you made it thru the Christmas walk!  Yeah for fun stuff!

Good luck at meeting.  Hopefully the crud will leave and you can get your run in.

Good morning Ghoulies!

The Christmas concert last night was WONDERFUL! The kiddos really put a lot of energy into it. Keri was very pumped when she got home.

After messing with it for 6 hours the hot water heater is finally broke enough that we are getting a new one. The husband is going to go get one when he gets off of work and install it tonight. Hopefully tomorrow morning I can shower in my own house.

Glad the concert was so good!! And yeah for hot water!!

Good morning, Dee!

What were you watching AND what is your favorite Christmas movie?

I don't even know what I was watching.  LOL    It was supposed to be about people who traded houses for the holidays, but the movie that came on was about these two "angels" who were helping a woman get custody of her brother and a man reconnect with his father and save the family business.  It had Peter Falk as one of the "angels".  It wasn't too bad but I finally HAD to go to bed.

Very hard to pick one favorite Christmas movie.  I love all of the old classics from the 30s and 40s.  Probably, White Christmas with Bing Crosby, etc or Miracle on 34th St.   DH laughs because I can see about 30 seconds or less and tell which movie it is!  His favorite is A Christmas Story.

I didn't see A Christmas Story until I married Larry.  It is pretty funny.

Of the "somewhat" newer movies, I like One Special Night with Julie Andrews and James Garner.  She is a widow and a very organized busy doctor.  He is a somewhat gruff but more laid back fellow who sets her on edge.  They get stranded one night but of course there are more complications after that.  I really enjoy the story, but the actors are really good.

I've never seen Elf. About 4 years ago I got it as a Christmas present where I worked. I keep wanting to watch it, just never have. White Christmas is my favorite.

AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I've ordered some kayak supplies from Austin Canoe & Kayak. I ordered my sprayskirt from them this morning. After I ordered it I realized I ordered the wrong one to fit my kayak. I called them and cancelled my order. The gentleman on the phone offered to help me with my new order, but I don't have my wallet on me today so I needed to order online so I could use my paypal account. I got online and went to order the correct skirt. My 15% off coupon code was no longer valid, since it had been used. While I was debating to just buy it without the code I got the little pop-up with a customer service person asking if I needed help. I explained the situation, she looked up my cancelled order and provided me a new code. I thought I copied it from the chat. I did not.

In the meantime I received an email about the cancelled order, it was from the person I was just chatting with. I replied and told her I hadn't copied the code when I thought I did. She replied back almost immediately with a new code. FANTASTIC!

I now have the correct sprayskirt on it's way, and I saved $14.85 in the process. WOOT!

That is AWESOME customer service.

Hey Ghoulies.

I am here. Just got the crud pretty bad and a lot to do. We spent Sunday on battle stations cleaning the entire house within an inch of its life for the "Christmas Walk" that I agreed to. It sounded okay in July. Yesterday it happened, 200+ people wandering throughout our house, up and downstairs. eeeegad!!!!

Saturday was fun, some chores in the am, then we went to a charity oyster roast. Then home in bed by 8:00. Not fun being sick this time of year.

today I had to go to a place tha makes bath tubs. fun and games. Tomorrow a 2 day staff meeting in winston-salem. I feel like yuck and that is going to NOT help one bit.

I haven't run since last week and I feel awful about that. Hopefully I'll be up to it tomorrow at the motel!

Sorry you are feeling so bad.  Glad to hear that the Christmas Walk is over.  Just think how clean the house is.

I have scheduled carpet cleaning for Monday.  My house is a wreck because we are moving as much furniture and area rugs to the garage for the cleaning.  Once that is over, we put the house back together and then I figure out how much decorating I want to do.  LOL.  Might just be a little bit this year.  Although the grandkids will be here on the 28th, so I need to get something up for them.

Feel better, and I hope the two day meeting is not too bad.

I vote for putting it all up and keeping it up longer. But then, I am a sucker for Christmas decorations!

Well, I might put up two trees instead of three.  We are having a New Years Eve party, and I would more than likely have to take down one tree prior to the party, so it just might not go up.  The outside of the house is decorated, so we are not completely bare.  I have to work the 22 & 23rd, and I'm off on the 21st so we will see how much I get up that day, for that will pretty much be it.  I too love Xmas decorations, so keeping them up longer is usually not a problem.  January is just going to be such a busy month.
