lol, I just looked at my calendar and realized that I have a 5k and a Duathlon less than a month away.

then I have the first of my 3 Oly Tri's first of June

Now I am getting nervous.  Think I might take the bike out tomorrow then run for a short brick.

I am going Friday for my Final Fit, hopefully putting my Aero bars on and getting that all set up.

Yep. It's race season here already. There are 2 I want to do before my HIM, but this spring has been really cold and both are OWS. Not sure what I'm going to do, first one is in 2 weeks.

yep. it's legit. on the weekends they put the lanes going the long ways so there are like 8-10 50m lanes that are super wide.

can't be a bad thing, at least every once in a while

oh it still gets pretty full. when there are swim team practices there will be over a hundred people in that pool.

speaking of pools... pretty good swim last night, was getting my 250yd sets into the 1:30ish pace range.  so much improvement since i started back swimming.

run was not so good yesterday.  i think increasing my FTP on trainer road the night before and doing a very very hard workout aggravated my IT band.  much knee discomfort was had.  learned a new IT stretch so hopefully i can fight this before it gets worse.

going to take today very easy, probably just a gym workout.

I'm generally not for judging triathletes (We do wear spandex after all) for anything... but I admit, if I saw a guy out running with an aero helmet on... I might wonder. :P

Picking up some run speed again (very slowly) and the legs seem to be accepting it fairly well. We'll see. 1/2 Marathon next Sunday...

Got my final fit this morning on my bike.  Put the Jammers on it, also got my 2 way seat post so I can ride it aero or standard for just casual riding.   Went out for a 16 mile ride, 57 mins,  I  thought that was a little slow.  I miss living in the country,  too many dang stop signs and lights up here.   If I want country its like a 20 mile ride to get to it.

23 days till my Duathlon,  I am looking forward to it.  5k run 25k ride then 5k run.  hopefully in the next few weeks I can get down there and practice it.  The course is a 3mile loop around a lake,  it is actually pretty hilly.

come on summer I want to start pushing my little guy in the jogging stroller!!

We are looking for a trailer too for the bike.  I think i'm more excited than he is.

Will run in the morning on Saturday then take sunday off due to traveling to Columbus area and back,  and eating 5k calories probably.

Hey guys.  Long time no check in.  Work is slammed and buying the 2nd house is just all encompassing.  Every day is phone calls, emails, etc, and then there's actual work I should be doing while in the office too.  Still trying to keep with the workouts, getting in about 4 per week which I'm fine with right now.  Kind of readjusting my expectations until the whole house thing is under control.  Looks like everyone is getting ready to get the season going.  Keep getting after it everyone, I'll try and not be such a stranger.

uhgg, feel like I gained 5 lbs this weekend.

Swam today for the first time in 3 weeks,  felt like first time I have ever swam.

had my own lane, then swim class came in even though I asked at front desk "no there are no swim classes this evening"   so 3 of us in one lane.  I plan on going back in the morning.

I'm not sure after last month being down and out as far as running goes. I *was* shooting for a low to mid 1:3x:xx but now I suppose I'll take anything under 1:40 and be content.

HA, I've been called worse.  The Tri club I joined is starting their weekly Saturday morning rides this week and it sounds like a good time.  They have a couple different groups based on what pace you want to go for and it's only 20 minutes from my house.  Only problem being that it falls right when my Saturday morning swim takes place and Saturday morning swims are the best because there is no one there and I get a lot of work in.  Oh well, I'll have to make it work.
