Well Wednesdays are typically non running days but I can't wait to use the new Garmin.  Will have to take it out for a test run.  MAN... that thing does everything except run for you!

Me too.  It was a great Christmas present last year.  Going to pick up the foot pod this year for indoor running so I don't have to keep track of how many laps I've done on the indoor track.  Ugh, I hate that.

Me too.  Small 200m track.  The worst.  I'll be running outside as much as I can, but sometimes the weather just won't cooperate.

Did a nice an easy recovery run this morning. (Ran Naked at the Beach) Did 10 miles @ Recovery Pace.

This is my last proper training run of the cycle. All that is left now are a few very short "Reminder" runs. I will be strapping on the HRM to make sure the intensity is very low so no more naked runs this week. (Guess it is time to put the shoes back on also)

Easy 7.  It's what I could fit in at lunch.

Other than that, nothing new to report.  Debating on the next couple days, I suppose.

You do realize that 200m is 1/2 an outdoor track, right?

Haha...I might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but YES I realize that.  =)  Which seems really small to me.

Got it.  Wanted to make certain.  Yeah, it is small.  Nothing like the indoor meets I used to run in HS.  The State Meet was on a wooden banked track!  Ran the 800, or something odd like that.  THAT made me dizzy!!    40m straight away and then a HARD left.

Felt bad for the shorter races like the 200.  Especially those in the outer lane.  I remember one year one guy flew off the top.  Was like a 15 foot drop on the other side.  He was shaken up but ok.

I ran 3.1 miles @ 5:45am.  I might be able to squeeze in another short run before I go home from work.

I bought new running shoes today!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!

If I remember correctly, he was running one of the shorter ones too, I think the 400.  First turn in the race and the boy was flying, then literally HE WAS FLYING.  They tell you to keep your lean in, even if you have to slow down.  The second you don't lean, your weight takes you up, out and over.  Like I said, he was lucky and was able to laugh about it because the floor he landed on was solid concrete.

That was in the late 80's.
