Run report: I had a great day on the treadmill. New shoes are making a huge difference now that I've gotten used to them (K-Swiss). My intervals are up to 6 minutes at 4.5 mph and my heart rate is staying below 165. Woo hoo! I'll be running a mile in a few weeks! I feel like once I get that first mile done, improvement will happen a lot faster. I missed a workout this week, so ended up with two rest days before my "long run" and I think that helped. Plus I HYDRATED properly BEFORE the run. No headache yet! And thanks: I would not have even made it to day 20 of training (that's today) if it wasn't for this group. Thank you all for being here. I look around my half empty gym now that the resolutionists have gone back to their couches, and it scares me. |
