I have 2 miles to go to my goal and have a sprint tri tonight unless it thunderstorms here in NE. I will make it...even if the Tri is canceled I'll ride and get my two miles in. I had hoped to blow over my goal, but ended up doing a Tri on Sunday to earn points for my Tri team (earned 5) so I had to forego my long bike last weekend.

Go Goddessess!!

Way to pull that extra out Stacers!  The closer you can get, the better!  Awesome job!

KathyG- two miles, that's a warm up!  You've got it licked!  Here's hoping those storms hold off...

Goddesses, this is it!  Any mileage you can put in today is orange icing on the cupcake!  Pedal pedal pedal!  Ride ride ride!  But most of all, enjoy it!  Go Gear Goddesses!

Good morning, cupcakes.  We have but a few hours left of the challenge.  I hope you are out riding hard and long.  Tomorrow morning, one of us will be looking across the digital divide at the other and congratulating the winning team.  I wish you well today.

Go Bones.

Updated stats:

  • 29 of 38 Goddesses have met or exceeded their goal
  • 87% of Goddesses are at or above 90% of goal (Will I be ordering those cupcakes for Captain Bones????????)

To provide moral support and LBE (lead by example), I got on my mountain bike last night and got caught in a downpour (it was great fun); rode in the rain for about 45 minutes. Unfortunately, my shoulder pain is back. Not sure if I can do the same tonight.

Goddesses, it is very, very impressive to see the spreadsheet with your names and goals attained. You have done an excellent job of delivering on your goals.

Applause to all of you!

Last day of the challenge and I will be putting in a couple of extra miles in tonight!  I'm in the Pacific Northwest, where there's still some daylight after 9:00 pm, so some of those Boners will be asleep while I'm out  riding.   I will post my results to the log before Midnight so they count.

Thanks Goddesses for being such great teammates!

Go Gear Goddesses!

I am the wrong person to ask. I'm boycotting men and dating.

If you must go on the date, HAVE FUN. Make the best of it and forget about your bike. Nice job on hitting your goal!

Now where are your priorities? This guy could be your true love, your prince charming. You don't have time for a ride, you'll have to get all gussied up for your date

Well, the truth of the matter is that I have another date on Monday which I am totally psyched about and so my conscience got to me. So, I ended up cancelling tonight's date. Woo hoo, I can ride my bike and get a few extra miles in!!!!!!!

Just for clarification - this is not the case - correct?  We have time tomorrow (Friday) to post our updates to our logs.

Yes, that is correct. I believe one of the Goddesses is vacationing in a national park and will need some time to update her mileage, too.

Just remembered - Gwendal is vacationing in national park - took her bike with her - and does not have access to a computer. I believe her plan is to get online tomorrow. Her numbers should look very different tomorrow - and I'll be ordering cupcakes!!!

Ok, I'm pulling out every trick/guilt device I know to encourage the Goddesses who are still gutting it out to dig really, really deep. You set your goals based upon 20% increase over last month's accomplishment. These aren't crazy goals. Stuff happens and life interferes with our best laid plans, etc, etc I understand but your team needs you to tough it out and ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOALS. It's not about Team 'Bones; it's about the self-satisfaction of working hard to achieve tough but achievable goals.

To provide moral support to my teammates, last night I rode for over an hour. In the dark. In the city. In the pouring rain. Today:

  • My cell phone is not working properly because it got wet in my bento box.
  • My throat hurts.
  • My shoulder really hurts (and I have a tri in 2 weeks).
  • My bike light is not functioning because the interior got wet.

Come on, Goddesses, DIG DEEP. Give your team everything you've got. I want all of us to hit our goals! I know you can do it!

STOP! the other stuff was nothing, but that's just too much! OK, less than 100% Goddesses in the crowd - if this supreme sacrifice by our wonderful leader does not motivate you to get out there and "WIN ONE FOR THE CHIPPER", I don't know what will....

Now get out there and do it, Goddesses!
