sparco - 2008-02-12 5:01 AM Morning Nibbs...it's 'kick my butt' day at work...in early...no lunch...then meetings (yuck!) until 4pm...

I have a midday meeting... but that sound more like my yesterday... hand in there! And dont forget to eat....

Hey Cat, thanks! I actually did O.K., grabbed a quick bowl of chicken soup, an orange and some apple sauce. Pretty darn good for eating on the run. The work-place here is pretty progressive. They've got a fridge they keep stocked with fruits and veggies. They're trying to promote healthier snacking (since I do work for a food company). It's all on the house! It's great!

That's really cool.  I would love to have something like that.

x2!

although it's not free, my new company does have a very nice cafeteria with some good food choices, inlcuding a great salad bar

it's pretty reasonable also

Even that would be nice.  My building is across the street from the hospital, so I could eat at the cafeteria there.  For being a hospital, the food is not as healthy as I would hope.  They have a salad bar, but it's not very good.  I also find it funny that there is a McDonald's and Chikfila in the hospital.

Checking in for the afternoon. The flu is running rampant at work and I get to go in just as soon as my kids get home from school. Lucky me. I'll be the lifeguard wearing the latex gloves and surgical mask. Will not be happy if I get this crud.

As for Sal's avatar (couldn't quote because it kept wanting to be a link, see above...)

TOTAL SANDBAGGER, that Sal!!!  One of our mentees had this great idea to have a mentor group challenge and Sal set his goals at like 50 yards of swimming, 4 miles on the bike and I think a hundred yard dash.  Oh, look at me!  I'm Sal!  I met my goals before day 11 of the challenge Yeah, OK, maybe I am jealous since I was overzealous on my running goal...

And you can't seem to walk more than a few hundred yards without injuring yourself...

Hey now, I have a valid excuse for my clumsiness!  Plus, I am highly entertaining when I am falling down stairs and off of curbs .

Hellloooooo Nibbs!!

Item #1:  I got very little sleep last night.  I must get up very early tomorrow.  Can anyone tell me why, then, I am drinking wine?  And by drinking wine I mean... a lot of it.

Item #2:  In reference to item #1, seriously, when I poured my wine (ummm... and then boy toy subsequently kept pouring)... is it a bad sign that I looked at the full glass and thought, immediately, of Kristen?

So what was on boy toy's mind? boy toy was being nice to you after a long trip...

Don't be silly.  The wine was just for me.  He knew he had that cheesecake thing covered by cleaning the house while I was away.  He knows what this saucy minx really likes

Ok, so I just had my first breakdown moment

I was unpacking my personal stuff for my office, which includes my kids senior pics - stupid me, I didn't have them in a frame and they are ruined - they got all scratched up

it will cost me $200 to replace them and I cannot have them restored beacause they are copyrighted and the photographer will not sign a release

i could just cry - in fact i did

I cried, I got angry - no sympathy - just the repeated line - well -

that's how much it costs, it's industry standard

I'm not proud, but I ended the call with 'thank you for nothing'

Morning, Nibbs.

I am procrastinating. Have a 6 mile run on tap that I'm kind of scared of. I love running. Running is fun! Just me and my body on the road. Kind of like a chalk drawing at a crime scene...No, wait. Must stay positive!

LOL!

So. Did you get that run in?

With, or without the chalk?

Yes, yes he does. I think we might have to photoshop something special for him if he doesn't pay up soon!!!

no, no...........we can't let him get off that easy - unless of course you make the photoshop pic sooooooo awful that he feels he has to pay up

now, there's a thought

Hm, remember that pink swimming cap - with the plastic flowers?

I live in North Carolina.

Around here, they think fried pork rinds are healthy.

In fact, a TV crew went to a local supermarket and asked why they didn't stock more "healthy fruits and vegetables." The store manager replied, "Because that's not what our customers buy."

*sigh*

But, on the bright side --> The store never runs out of Little Debbies!
