Well whilst some of you have been catching up on your beauty sleep others have been logging the miles in. Two bottles of 1/2 strength energy drink, one banana & two brioche rolls and away I went. Hill, after hill, after hill. No, didn't take backpack due to putting 5lbs on in a week (must be water retention, please be water retention). Needed every gear I could get on some of the climbs, even would have settled for a Triple in places. Eight climbs in all. Almost bottled the last two and took flat way back, but what the heck.

4h 05m (53miles, the hills slowed it down to 13 mph avg).

Top of third climb. See that little dot on skyline 3/4 inch to the left of middle....

This is the view back from there. That was a killer climb.

So just where do you hide when you want a pee?!

I'll try & get a profile of the ride done. Know some of you have been logging Max speed. 44 mph today. Boys will be boys! And I know of at least one 'fast' girl out there!

Wow. such lovely pictures! You are very lucky to be able to ride there. It seems so quiet and peaceful.... If I get to Lake Sammamish tomorrow I'll take my camera and take some pics of where we ride.  Funny that you say 13MPH average, that's my top speed on my "Tank bike" lol

Okay, it rained here today.  No riding outside.  One hour on the drainer.  Oh, please let it not rain tomorrow.  I really want to ride outside and need to get in at least 2 hours.

Wow!  Ten years flies by, congrats!  I was finishing up grad school 10 years ago. Still paying for it, probably for 10 more. Ugh.

My 2-year old is puking today.....poor guy.  He really wants to go to the gym but that's not gonna happen for him.  I will go after hubby gets off work.  If I recall Friday night are great for swimming, as the only people there are those with no social life, like myself.

Tomorrow should be a 25-ish mile ride for the peeps, hopefully with a peep (Lynne).  Rain rain go away!!!!!

Okay, weather is calling for rain tomorrow so I went and did another 30 minutes on the drainer.  Don't ask me to walk anywhere tonight.  dancing though, I can always do.

6195ft or 1888m. Whichever way it's a lot of climbing. Going to see if I can climb into bed now.

That is SO EXCITING! congrats Lynne~!!! Yeah!!!

Leslie - clearly i have a stunning social life as well - I'm at work at 8pm on a friday night doing financial statements - WWOOOO HHHHOOOOO! life is good!!! yeah.. : / At least I'm having a glass of wine! Hmmmm wonder how those financials will turn out - OH LOOK a profit!!!

Doc said I have "grinding" under my rt kneecap - fun stuff - it's actually better sounding than all that drama. 3 weeks lite spin/bike riding, treadmill/lite running and swimming and he thinks i should be able to push again after that - naproxin for 7 - 10 days (I'll try it for a few, but I don't really like that stuff) - so not too bad. I'm glad I went in early! He said things seem pretty good and I choose to believe that is overall and not for "my age".. which is what the doc who did my achilles surgery said... ugh.... wanted to sock him!

Anyway, feeling pretty good about it actually and will follow the taking it easyish thing. The funnest part will be telling my personal trainer I'm not supposed to do lunges, butt kicks, anything with "high knees" and weights - altho he said tomorrow is going to be a killer upper body workout - with a gleam in his eye - yike.... I think my elbow is a little sore.... jk

Hope you all have a good weekend! See you on Monday with more T.I.T.S.!!!!!

Well we cancelled our bike ride due to stupid rain. It's just started here again but here's where I'm thinking of going today to ride.

The Danskin course. Sort of. Little further.

Bad News:  We are under a tornado watch all day today until 7pm, so no riding bikes outside.  I'm getting ready to go down to the ride the trainer.  Don't think I will get in more than an hour though on it.

Good News:  I just got a bike rack to go on the back of my car so I can take my bike with me to work and ride around the neighbors hoods there after word sometimes.  Won't they love seeing my bike in the office during the day.  LOL

Yikes, a tornado watch!  I remember those when I lived in the midwest as a child.  Very scary.  I get a mental picture of the wicked witch riding her bike in a tornado (I am not calling you a witch!)....

Lynne, I am so bummed that we didn't get to ride today.  It's still pouring rain here.  Wahhhhh.  I need to do a 32 min run today but am thinking of making it a brick whenever I do get on the bike.  I am just not in the mood to be damp outside.

Have you seen this site? I printed a few maps to have handy for some local rides: http://www.cascade.org/Community/maps_routes.cfm

Looking good!  So are you heading out?  Still raining here....damn foothills.  I just need to go back to bed anyway.  My rain gear isn't see through so it won't do me any good to wear the jav suit.  Although it may make me faster!
