Glad the weather is crap and I could not commute if I wanted to, but tomorrow it starts and I still have to get some running and swimming in as well. Beth - give me my gumption back please!!!!! You guys have a good day of training - I might get to the pool tonight after work and before a meeting, but I am not counting on it. Oh where is my gumption, where is my gumption. I got no gumption, so I need some gumption! waidaminute - I'm not a gumption stealer! It must have been someone from another team that stole your gumption - I'm on a mission to find it for you! I am closing in on it - it was the sugar gods of processed food. Very very bad!!!! So I am purging today and I already feel better now that I did 2 hours ago for sure! Why is sugar so good yet so bad?
hmmmm, I wonder if pixie dust has sugar in it................ nahhh! LOL |

Member 30 Beaches, San Diego | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers Girl Passing on Left - 2008-06-17 11:56 AM rowertrying2tri - 2008-06-17 8:06 AM OK, so I just joined the local YMCA that is well known for its Masters program... my goal is to attend my first class Thursday morning... im scurrrrred! I keep saying that I am going to go, but Thursday is it! I figured if I put it in writing then I will have to follow through!! (Maybe I should work on my flip turn before I go... where's my mom when i need her! haha). KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK TEAM!! I'm here for you! You are soo gonna do fine! just remember that they do not stop and it is one hour of lap after lap after lap! flip turns are helpful, but not mandatory...I still find myself not doing them when I share the lane...don't want to kick anyone and hurt them! so, ask for your mom....and poof she is here....have a great day! ****poof**** gone! HAHA, thanks mom and to all of my other supporters!! please check in with me tomorrow and remind that I am to attend Masters at 6:30am on Thursday! It's 5:15 and I have been here since 7:00am uh oh... looks like with new responsibility comes new hours! haha. Nah, just had a few late meetings, the new role is going to be quite a challenge though! But i needed it, things were getting to easy before! Off to ride home... GO TEAM!! |

Its a like a slinky with a belt at one end and a little velcro strap at the other end that you can hook to the ladder in the pool. Its about 6 ft long and holds you in place so you can swim in place.Kinda cool. |

Elite 3471 Evergreen, CO | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers How does that not pull his swim trunks right off?! Went to Masters this morning and swallowed lots of pool water with those durn drills. Didn't kill me so I must be stronger now. Dropped clothes and food off at work (it was on the way), then dropped the car off at Big O and rode back to work. I have 3 days of clothes here so can I ride in everyday. Food will be another challenge because I like to eat a lot at work Looking forward to this because even tho my commute is only 2.5 miles, I can go exploring around town to get a decent ride in before or after work, depending how late I sleep |

My common sense took over and I bailed and drove to work. I want to ride my bicycle!!!!!!! I want sunshine!!!!!!!!! I want my gumption back!!!!!!!!!! Yes I am being selfish today huh! Sorry you're having bad weather!!! We're finally getting some nice weather in the foothills -- perfect temps IMO. Pretty sure it was safe to take off the snowtires today People were still skiing a couple weekends ago!! Maybe this short break will help w/ the gumption issue |

It's 96 degrees in the valley, but there's enough snow somewhere up the canyon to ski. If you don't mind a few rocks...

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers Hey guys! Got a recreational bike ride in night before last, and then a decent run in this morning. I'll have to figure out the mileages later so I can log them and add them to the spreadsheet. The a-fib seems to be staying away, so I've got to get moving again. Keep your cheescake lovin' fingers crossed for me. |

Maybe this short break will help w/ the gumption issue I think you are right on the gumption issue, but it hurts the gas budget issue which is a bigger concern Well tomorrow I am commuting no matter what (I said that yesterday also and you see what type of wimp I am when it comes to rain!) We could actually use some rain -- a good downpour to knock all the pine pollen out of the air and flush it down to Denver. Everything is chartreuse (isn't that the crayola word for yellow-green?). |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers Hey guys I calculated the distance for the run, but forgot to go drive the bike route. I know it's only about a mile, but hey, when you set the bar as low as I did this month, every mile counts. For a lot. I'll be a happy camper when google updates its satelite of the area near my house. There are roads that have been there for well over a year that aren't on the map/satelite photos yet. And they're in my favorite running/biking neighborhood. *sigh*
