Was it to a vampire? No...unless the blood people count as a vampire. I always call the lab people who take my blood every 3 months vampires. They just laugh at me, or maybe with me. I have a friend who is a phlebotomist, so we always call her a vampire. The people in my lab sometimes call me a vampire because I was taking blood from them to figure out how to do a protocol before I did it with real patient's blood. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Taser Roasted Peeps II blujay65 - 2009-03-26 7:44 AM So today I was finally able to check out the results from the du I was in last weekend. Kind of a bummer, but apparently I was the only one in my AG. Geez, I thought I had at least a little competition.
That still makes you first in your AG! And better at picking races than the people who didn't place. |

I had to deliver cookies to a friend who lives 30 minutes away, pick up ice cream cups for my daughters class at school (it's her birthday), drop said ice cream off at school, run for 30 minutes, fly home and get an hour on my trainer even though it is a beautiful day out (no one to watch my youngest) then pick up kids from school (half day), run home and shower, grab a FAST lunch, go to parent/teacher conferences. That brings me to now. I'm tired! I still have to bake a pie for the birthday girl, fold a load of laundry, cook dinner, drop kids off at church, find something to wear for a wedding on Saturday, pick up kids from church, and finally collapse into bed. I hate days like this! Holy cow! I'm tired just reading this, and all I do is sit on my arse all day at the office...then whine about working out. Yeesh. I definitely need to HTFU! |

Expert 1074 Madison, MS | Subject: RE: Taser Roasted Peeps II ebshot - 2009-03-26 5:44 AM This afternoon I have our first appointment for Cole's neuro-psych evaluation. Send good vibes/prayers my way. I'm a tad nervous about it. I have a good idea what we will eventually here from the doctor (it's a long process, no diagnosis coming today) but still don't really want to hear it! I hope I'm wrong! But, in the end, knowing is better so you can have a strategy. I know it's not really comparable, but I spent a long time not feeling well in my mid-20s, mentioned it to my doc during a regular exam. After a few tests, in-depth discussions with the best endocrinologist in the world, and treatment decisions, a huge weight lifted off me and my husband (nothing too serious...just Graves Disease). I went running that very day (well, not so much running as slogging a few times around the track) just to celebrate knowing and having a plan. Good vibes all around for you and Cole. |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: Taser Roasted Peeps II Hey everyone - Sorry I have been MIA but I am caught up on the thread finally. I have had company (sister, BIL and niece (4yo) and nephew (7yo) in town since Saturday night and things have been busy busy. I have gotten in workouts with them (science center on Monday, walk on tuesday, zoo walk (3 hours) yesterday) but this morning I managed to get out on my own for a bit. Got a 2 mile run and a 1 mile walk in this morning and it felt good. I am part of Team Skinny as well and was disappointed since the scale was up this week (imagine that) so I topped it off with breakfast of egg whites, toast and strawberries. YUM. Have a great week and keep staying peachy. |

The movie is a little corny. But I have to remind myself that the target audience is teenage girls, not me. That being said, Bryan is reading the series right now! I think he should turn in his man card for that! I think I'll skip the movie unless I get a chance to see it for free then. dont they have library dvds rentals?
