Too bad the discussion on this thread died off after the US got eliminated. I'm going to go through withdrawal over the next few days--missing the World Cup.

Yeah.  Hard for me to comment as much now that I'm working again.  Pfft!

My team is still in it to win it.  I will keep posting.  At least we get a little break now so I  guess it's time to get some work done at work.

For me it was Sunday.  I was gone all day and had DVR'd the two matches.  I turned them on as soon as I got home and walked by my mother who was on Skype talking to my father in Brasil.  I stopped by the computer to say hello and the first thing out of his mouth was the results of both matches.  NOOOOoooooo....  Is it wrong to tell your father to 'shut up'? I almost did.

My four teams in order were USMNT, England, Spain and then Netherlands.  So far I'm .500.

I don't know... I think the other one was worse.  I actually agreed with this guy on a couple of points regarding how the US has just moved on to something new after the loss where other countries are in turmoil over how poorly their teams did.  The other that the US isn't going to stand behind a sport that they're not the best in the world at... that one kind of made me laugh.

You did catch that he spelled our professional league wrong, didn't you.  He wrote MSL instead of MLS.

A little long, but there are some really funny bits to it.  Especially some of the goal scoring celebrations and then the celebration after they have won.  Really funny.

Robben is too one dimensional...he has chances if he goes right but keeps cutting into trouble...

Too many fouls - hurting the games flow..and half are dives or "simulations"...man up!

Just able to re-join the match. Saw the opening goal before I stepped out to head to work, but missed the equalizer. Excited to be tied now!
