However,my wife and I have been checking out puggle pups and as soon as we move out of the apartment and into a house, we're there. (She digs the curly tail, I would enjoy the slightly reduced tendency to howl . . . ) But if I'm slightly envious of you having the new pup, my wife will be insane with jealousy. Post the pic!

Had my first tip over today... went for a bike ride again today (outside finally) and stopped at a red light to get a drink, I undid the strap for my helmet ( it was to tight ) and readjustted it. I started to peddle again but forgot to do the strap on the helmet back. I unclipped my left foot and put it on the ground, I then tried to unclip my right foot but in the process loss my balance and could get my foot out... down I went lol. My foot came out when I hit the ground and I jumped up tring to look like I ment to do that. Some pebbles in my elbow but that was about it lol. It is just so nice to get outside. Rode 19 km (12 m) yesturday then today rode 33.5 km (21 m). legs feel pretty good. It amazing how your perspective on things change... while driving in the car I have said that the course I took today was flat... On a bike there are lots of hills on it I relized today and uphill both ways. |

I am just back from a great yoga class- really trying to work on the increasing tightness that always goes along with more time running...and am off for a brick this afternoon. Before that I am going to go read Candace's race report though :-) |

Sorry to hear about Shorty :-( what a cute photo though, love the self-satisfied smile :-) Our last beagle, Tucker, pulled that same trick on hikes-- one time I got him 5 miles down a trail and he refused to walk on his own (not for any good physical reason, just lazy...) My arms about fell off after carrying his 40+ pounds back to the car. I think that was the last hike I ever took him on! |

No, I don't believe so. I've never experienced any weird "taper madness" or anything like that. I've never felt sluggish or "twitchy" in my legs or any other feelings people have during a taper and I don't feel like I "can fly" during the end of the taper either. I usually don't feel any different at all except that left to my own devices I will eat just about everything that I see but it could be that I only notice it because I am not training as much. Who knows? |
