LOL. Its all for fun! Here's the rule: Upon the completion of each length of the course, some part of the swimmer's body must contact the end wall in the turn. During the turn, swimmers may rotate beyond 90 degrees toward the breast, to execute a continuous turn. They may use a continuous single arm pull or a simultaneous double arm pull to initiate the turn. During the turn, once the swimmer has left the position on the back, any kick or arm pull must be part of the continuous turning action. The swimmer must have returned to a position on the back upon leaving the wall. Permissible for swimmers to be completely submerged during the turn and at the finish touch and up to 15 metres after each turn. By that point the head must have broken the surface. Swimmers who surface in the wrong lane may take one underwater stroke to return to their own lanes, if they do not interfere with other swimmers.
Essentially you need to come off the wall on your back (or more on your back than on your front). |

Scott, I've got a friend who went off of grains completely and says he feels wonderful. Not sure I could ever do something like that, I like my bread/bagels/pasta, etc too much. How's the weather situation? I heard New Mexico is getting slammed with snow at the moment.
Clear here today. Some parts still got snow this morning, but we are sunny (although cold). The state did get hammered though. Friends on the other side of the mtn got over a foot yesterday. And I know up north they got between a foot to a foot and a half. Just south of ABQ to Las Cruces had I-25 closed (that's over 200 miles). And I-40 was closed for big chunks from here to Gallup (about 140 miles). |

Hit the treadmill for a short, easy run after I dropped off the kids at school. I plan on resting and hanging with the kids this afternoon. I'm tired!! Already looking forward to those days off over the holidays. LOL Have a good one, all. |

Extreme Veteran 3020 | Subject: RE: kaburns1214 Mentor Group 2011 Part 2 - CLOSED What's up, all??? Early run and then swim and lift tonight. The usual. So, after watching Survivor last night, I started thinking about a submission tape and what angle I need to play for the show. I think I have things figured out. Going to make the video after the holidays. I wanted my hair to be a little longer (for sex appeal....I know, I know, but these things matter), but it's growing soooooo slowly. Oh, the details Anyway, that show never seems to have athletically strong women on it. Why is that? Edited by jarvy01 2011-12-08 6:34 AM |

All these things are cast to create conflict or for a feel good angle so I guess play up one or the other. I stopped watching Survivor religiously a while back but I agree there seems to be a lack of athletic women on the show. Maybe point that out? |

Jen, I agree, the avatar pic is still my favorite. You look ready to kill someone. Are you allowed to share the video with us before sending in? Prob not, it'll prob disqualify you somehow |

Scott - one of my partners is a major wine guy (he has a champagne import business on the side) i can ask him. Jen - you crack me up. good luck This week has been a blur - billed 65 hours and back in court tomorrow. On trial with a lawyer in CT who is considered one of the best trial lawyers in america. The guy is a total clown. I had figured this week would be a rest week before my big race. now its just a rest week leading up to a race i dont even really want to do but I'll have fun with Rudy. Hopefully he can at least PR.

Essentially success at a race isn't the result of some 12, 16 0r 20 week plan, but rather cumulative, consistent training. |
