I hope everyone is having a great day.

They won the meet, but Melanie didn't get to swim so she's bummed.  It is fun cheering for the team, though.

Awesome about the meet results but sorry your daughter didn't get to swim.  So what is next for them?

Semi-finals next.  I think that's on Monday.  They won't be nearby, so I can't go to this one.  My husband will go.  He's become the team's "official" photographer.  Only problem is that he's so focused on trying to get good shots that he pays no attention to what's actually happening.  Most meets he can't even tell me who won!  At least I get to see pictures.

It was an off day for me, so no training.  My kids decided they didn't want to go to the rock climbing gym, so my husband and I went by ourselves after dinner.  It was a fun "date".

I received a job offer today.  Laughing  It is because I am awesome.

I can get a lot done in very little time and I do it very well.  It is partially ADHD, OCD and being bipolar and the drugs I take for it.  There is a gal at school that refers to me as the energizer bunny.

Between saturday and sunday I put in 25 hours at the set up of the NW flower and garden show.  I am really tired and really sore, but it is a good sore.  I've put on some muscle.

Hey All, I'm back, I've been a terrible teammate!!  Work has been brutal!  I haven't had the time to get on the forum (what is my boss thinking, making me work at workLaughing), and my nights have been full of taxes, bills, cleaning, bathing the kids, etc, etc....  I have been kinda keeping up with training.  I just forget to log it in, or feel that a quick run around the block isn't log worthy.  I hate to see that EVERYONE is sick or getting sick.  My boys have both had the crud since New Years (I've been lucky so far!)

I've been getting better on the rollers with my new road bike, I just have a hard time stopping!  Its good motivation to stay on longer.  I had a epic bike ride planned for Vday, but the bottom fell out of the sky.

Ya'll keep up the great work!!  You guys are doing awesome!!

Sorry I'm late to the party.

I brought a famous New Zealand dessert, called pavlova.  I don't think we have it here in the US, right?  Anyway, it's kind of like a big creamy meringue and is always served with fresh fruit.  I also brought my favorite New Zealand beer, Speights.

P.S. LOL that we are all looking to bring cake and beer.

Oh yeah and I couldn't really think of anything for a present so I hope this is OK.

You can take it back if you want.  Happy Birthday!

All this is so much better than the hour and a half I spent on the trainer this morning

Thanks for the birthday gifts, and I'll be having real steak and twice baked potatoes this evening.  Hopefully, there will be some Desoto gift certificates with it.

Although, if anyone wants to pitch in for a 2009 Litespeed Blade...

Beer: Abita Turbodog

Something about the name of that beer just seems wrong to me.

I hope you're having a great birthday!

That trainer ride could have been much worse.  I could have been there singing "happy birthday to you" over and over again while you were riding.  (Trust me, you don't want to hear me sing!)

Speaking of birthdays - here are a few pics from my son's party.  I think I figured out this referencing thing for BT forums.  It was an exhausting 2 hrs. but we made it and he had a great time.

Clone Trooper Cake

My brother-in-law's girlfriend made this awesome cake.  It's a clone trooper from Star Wars Clone Wars.  My son loved it!

Drew

And my son coming down the slide which he did for 2 hours!  The only breaks were for pizza and cake.  I wish I had the energy of a 5 yr. old.  LOL

OOoh, pavlova!  there was a little aussie cafe in ballard that served a delicious mango pavlova with assorted fresh fruit.  SOOOOO good.  I was sad that the place didn't last-it was there less than a year.  I wonder if they moved somewhere else???
