Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge mbasta - 2011-03-22 4:39 PM I did my first 10km race on Sunday! I shattered my expected arrival time, which was strange since I'm injured and walked at least 1km... The I went online and it was listed as 9km. NOW it makes sense. Someone must have messed up when setting up the route, then maybe a runner with a GPS came through the finish line with the bad news. I tripped on the board walk and took quite a dive. Now I have scrapped up knees and the front of one ankle. Sexy! Glad you survived the run and the 'dive'. How are the feet today? Are they giving you any problems? |

Maybe the 4 inches of rain that fell on sunday during the marathon also swelled the pool. We had two stunt runners that got a lot of press : A 400 lbs sumo wrestler aka The FAt Guy who "ran" it in 9:38 and dropped 4 pounds over 26.2 miles And the McRunner who consumed nothing but McDonald diet for a month before the race and posted a very impressive 2:36 finish time Slow day for posting today. Where is everyone? I read about the sumo guy but not McRunner. I love it when someone does something that shows you can't blame fast food for being out of shape. Sure its not the best, but diet is only part of being in shape. It takes exercise and other stuff and that's the part that people tend to ignore. |

1. Congratulations! 10km, 9km ... either way it was an inaugural race for you and you did it and PR'ed! 2. Scars are signs of victory. |

I buy some, then lose them, then buy more and lose them and buy more. Then I find all the ones I lost. recently went through the finding part of the cycle so I know where three are. It won't take long before I need to buy some more though.pdbman - 2011-03-21 1:38 PM You can never have enough of those! I swer, I keep them in my purse and every drawer in the house. I never have to wonder where a pair is... : ) Don't you just love Murphy's law? I lose things all the time, buy a replacement and then guess what turns up. Any guesses how many watches or fingernail clippers I have? I don't have a problem losing deoderant and have more of a problem losing hair than hair bands. Socks and sunglasses I understand. The one that frustrates me the most is the sunglasses. Its really hard for me to find sunglasses that fit my weird nose (they sit way too high) and they're too much money to buy several pairs at once so most of the time I don't have sunglasses. I have bug-eyes (not really, I guess, but like most Asians they are far forward in my face) and really long eyelashes, and a ski jump nose, so to find a pair of shades that will actually sit on my nose without sliding down or smooshing my eyelashes is a real pain in the rear. So usually I wind up paying a lot of money for shades (if it fits, I BUY IT), and I still lose them anyway/sister's dog eats them/cats eat them/etc. However I am totally okay with my face as it is. Long lashes?? What a problem to have Yanti!! I'm so jealous... I just have a small face and can't find glasses that don't take up my whole face. And I sit on them a lot. I mean, A LOT. I buy a lot of $5 sunglasses from Walmart. Santa actually brought me a nice pair for when I'm out riding this summer, but I'm afraid to actually take them out of my drawer. I'm pretty sure I'll sit my fat azz on those too! |

Sounds like a nice morning. I wish I had a morning like that. Instead, I'm being mr grumpy pants at work. In my house, we refer to that attitude as being a "grumpy snort". I like that!! I may have to use that on one or both dd's in the morning. Of course, assuming I'm not a grumpy snort as well. |

I need to figure out how to do things like wash my hair and shave- one handed. Easier than it sounds! |

Master 1346 Gold Coast | Subject: RE: March CRUSHERS U-Pick It Challenge Morning All! I was going to comment again on the sunglasses issue but then I realised I put my phone in the wash last night and that is far more stupid than continually breaking glasses - doh! So now I have n0 phone and no car (still in the garage from when I reversed into a truck the other week). What next?! The garage had told us today but of course it hasn't even been started on so now they say Friday....probably.....I said it had better be Friday because we have weekend and next week plans that just can't be done without a car, so fingers crossed for me please everyone!

I go on nights tomorrow for a few ... I'm doing OK ... I just had a crap run and I'm very tired (dayshifts, once again, suck) ... heating up some delish but very stinky left-over curry and having a glass of wine and just relaxing. I can sleep in tomorrow morning, I'm looking forward to that! My workouts are going well, my eating's on track, and I'm quite pleased about this ... I'm a grumpy snort.

Lonely days, lonely nights, where would I be... Oh. Sorry. That's an old song and I would be surprised if any of you know it. Yeah I know what you mean. I used to travel for work and its not fun being away from loved ones but homecoming is great. I hope the time passes quickly and that you get to see your bf before he has to head out again. Maybe you can squeeze in a quick lunch or something. |
