However, I am reviewing my decision to participate in the Bali Tri later this month ... but do note I did not say 'race.'

I've decided to do the same. Next weekend, a bunch of people from work and my club are racing at Mont Tremblant. I have decided that I'm not even going to participate, as I haven't been swimming and my A-Race is in 3 weeks, and I did a HM last weekend. I REALLY want to. I'm still gonna go for the 2 hour drive to cheer people on

And there is a big difference between racing and participating in I can't do one without the other, though.

Perhaps our lovely Yanti should skip participate and slide into volunteer?  Just so she won't be tempted to kick participation up a notch to sorta kinda lets see how I do but not race mode.
