aw. you've been in a funk? sorry to hear this...but hoping tonite is fun for you. love happens when you sometimes least expect it. keep an open mind.

This isn't a love thing we are too different but she is fun and cool so we'll see what happens.

starbucks is overpriced in general, me thinks.

agreed.  i got a homemade pumpkin spice latte recipe this year that is even better than the stores, and the coffee at wawa tastes fresher for 1/3 of the price.

Kido - 2011-12-02 8:42 AM I miss my coffee. it's been almost 48 hours since I had any! Plus I'm starving. I'm jonesing gor some eggs bennie and bacon.

no coffee or food allowed??  or just no good food allowed??

They don't allow anything after midnight the day day of your surgery. So when I got out at 6pm it had almost been 24 hours. They have me jello and even a sandwitch to eat and the wife got me a big cookie from the cafeteria at 9pm. But that's not NEARLY what I'm used to from what I was eating during IM training.

Oh my god, you said Wawa. I miss that place sooooo much! I seriously go every day when I'm visiting the family up north. I always buy their coffee beans to take back to FL, too...

I busted out my barista machine and started pulling my own espresso shots. Steam some skim milk and add a shot of the seasonal holiday coffee mate? Not too bad. Probably not quite as good as starbucks, but close and only a fraction of the cost.

@ kido...i went to williams sonoma...holy  cow...what they want for an espresso maker. i could buy at starbucks for two years, straight...every day, and it still wouldn't be what the price of that was. i have wanted one though, an espresso maker. i noticed a few posts up...you're on meds? sorry to hear you're not feeling well.

for the group...what is wawa?

I'm killing time in my hospital room, hence the flurry of posts. I'm also posting on my smart phone, so lots of typos. But I am on some pain meds! And low on sleep. I don't think these are the fun pain meds though. I don't feel pain, but I don't feel dreamy either.

White Castle >>> Steak and Shake.

Five Guys beats them all though, but isn't cheap.

Evidently Wawa is a convenience store(?) in the NE the engenders huge loyalty through yummy coffee. I have friends here in FL that can't stop talking about Wawa. And they left Jersey 15 years ago.

A chick I met over a year ago, she is a friend of a friend. We talked for a bit but stopped when our mutual friend started to like me. Then last week she texted me out of the blue flirting so we set up a date tonight. Not really my type for a long term thing but for a date(s) it should be fun. Something to get me out of my funk.

Out of the funk, into a chick. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I haven't been to a steak and shake in forever. I used to go to five guys all the time! The best pizza. I'm also going to hit up Imo's and Ted Drews. The usual spots.
