made it! and now to post something somewhat useful. Taking another rest day - stomach is kind of all bubbly and such so....don't want to overdo it. I'm over 100% - but want to hit 105. I have a 5K scheduled for Th. at 2:00 (boy, it's going to be chilly) and I hope to have myself all straightened out to do a little bike ride tomorrow that will also get me to 105. Also went to PT today and got some exercises to strengthen up my shoulder, although they said "no swimming" for awhile. I guess I know what one of my goals WON'T be in the White Sale challenge.

Just hit 100% on bike and hit a PB for 40k on the drainer, going to hit the treadmill next for a little run, should hit run goal tomorrow. Will give reaching 105% a good effort

I'll do my best. The pool has crazy hrs over school vacation week but I hope to get 1 more swim for 100% tomorrow night and another on Thursday to push over 100%. I am at 79.9 something miles on the run with a goal of 80 miles so I should get to 105% on Thursday. I will just imagine chasing a little peevish elf!!

Alright, got in short swim session yesterday, a longer one coming tomorrow. That puts me at 100% Bike done this morning, another one tomorrow and I should hit 105%..... WOOOHOOO.....

I've been wondering where out co-captain is myself.

I just called the local Y for the 5 K tomorrow. My concerns were right. Apparently the first half mile or more will be snow packed and slick. So much for busting out of the gate and setting a PR. I've actually been practicing negative splits, so this may work to my advantage. a 10 min first mile and then two 8's - HA! Probably not. I'll shoot for maybe a 9 and "we'll see" from there.

Any advice from the runners in this thread? No, I don't have "Yak Trax" or whatever those are. I do have boots, but I think I'd look silly.

FWIW it is easier to run in the snow where it is less packed, even if it gets your shoes a little wet. I try to find someone's tracks but stay out of major ruts where it is slickest. Bring your boots and dry socks to put on for the ride/walk home. Have fun!!
