Expert 1557 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Ken D's Group - Shut Nice, enjoy the time off! It had been nice here until today (rain), but I still plan on doing a swim and run if the lightning stays away. If not then just a run. Tomorrow I went ahead and committed to riding 24mi with my local bike group. Couldn't pass up the chance even though it does not work with my current training plan, but oh well. KenD - 2010-03-24 10:27 AM It's pretty (weather-wise) here this week. I want to be out riding. Expert 897 South Jersey | Subject: RE: Ken D's Group - Shut Is it crazy that I really think my neck/shoulder issue yesterday and today had to do with my gall bladder? I had some other symptoms this morning and while talking to my mom she mentioned gall bladder. The other major pain I had all morning is gone and my shoulder/neck feels about 90% better suddenly too. I promise...I am not crazy! Anyone have gallbladder issues before? |

Expert 1557 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Ken D's Group - Shut Ummm, yes! j/k Not in the medical field but I've never heard of that one before. That doesn't really mean a whole lot though. Did you do anything to make it better or it just got better on it's own? As long as it gets better, that is the good news! I promise...I am not crazy! Anyone have gallbladder issues before? From what I am reading, shoulder pain on your right side is a sign of gall bladder issues. Some people only have that symptom and never think it is their gall bladder. I did nothing to make me feel better yesterday. I got sick last night when I got home from work, violently sick. This is gross but I threw up a ridiculous amount of bile. And from what I understand, a gall gladder attack is from stones or a backup of bile in your system. How I felt yesterday was not a stomach bug kind of sick. When someone mentioned gall bladder issues to me, I started looking online and I had a lot of the symptoms yesterday. I was checking out the foods to avoid if you have issues. We had pork chops and broccoli for dinner Tuesday night and both are at the top of the list of foods to avoid. I don't know. I am just glad I feel better today. I was getting worried about my race this Sunday! I do plan to schedule a doctors appointment and keep an eye on my diet more. |

I need to read up on the gall bladder thing, didn't know it could cause that kind of stuff. Didn't even know different foods could effect it either. I am looking for something new now that I am going to start running longer distances. I want something with distance, pace, and splits. Any suggestions? I think I am going to be near one of our local running stores today so I plan on stopping in. |

I just bought one! I was not going to get it today but my aunt told me last night to let her know what I found today. I texted her the price and told her it would have to wait a bit. She called me right away and told me she was giving me $200 towards it. She is in Florida for the winter and my sister just went to visit her. She paid for her hotel so she is going to give me money for it. I turned right around and bought it! |

The 405 has a 20 hour battery life and it is waterproof, as far as I know and it has a couple of extra bells and whistles, some don't come standard with the HR Monitor though, so make sure it does come with it. My husband has the 405 and I've heard no complaints from him. |

Oh and you can also buy a special mount kit, so that you can switch it from wearing on your wrist for running and clipping it onto your bike for riding...I like not having the big garmin on my wrist when biking, so it's a "nice to have" |

Expert 1557 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Ken D's Group - Shut Like Sandra said, I don't think you can go wrong with a Garmin. I got the 310 which is a waterproof version of the 305, and love it. The 405 is considered water resistant, not actually waterproof, but i've known people to take it in the water and have not had problems. However, be careful b/c if you swim in it and it leaks then Garmin might not warranty it since it is not technically waterproof. Have fun with it and enjoy uploading all your data and playing around with it. It is an addicting little toy! Mrschach - 2010-03-26 6:52 AM What heart rate monitor do you guys use if any? For whatever reason, I can't get the strap to stay in place while I am swimming and I always lose my heart rate. Running is the main reason I wanted to upgrade. |

Expert 1557 Austin, TX | Subject: RE: Ken D's Group - Shut I've got a crazy work week this week, so I really hope I can keep it together and get all my training in. And to add to it, I couldn't sleep worth a lick last night so I hope I force myself out the door when I get home today to get my workout in. Gotta short bike and swim planned. Going to bike the hills to the pool, swim, then ride back home. Hope everyone had a great weekend! Can you believe it is about to be April!? |

It's tough to keep it all together sometimes, do the best you can and remember though you may be mentally drained from your work day, a good work out can reduce the stress and hopefully make for some better sleep and where ever possible make sure you are getting the proper nutrition your body needs. I'm hoping the easter bunny will be hopping by my place this coming weekend....mmmmm....chocolate! |
