Marsha, what an awesome new form of working out!!!  I'm sure you'll be trying to shed body fat while you build the muscle (don't get too lean)!!!  We have a friend that did that awhile ago and wow - what an amazing transformation!!!  Can't wait to see the competition photos....you must share!!  Heck I bared my fat A$$ in my tri pics, so you have to bare your muscles and awesome psychic for all of us!!!  Seems fair.....It will be exciting to hear about it.. I start P90X in a couple weeks so I'll be doing the before pics and all the measurements....I'm gunna try to keep my biceps bigger than yours.....well, maybe catch up to you..haha

LOL! I'm up for the challenge...my guns are gonna ROCK! We'll have to take measurements and see who wins the BLING! LOL! Uuuuuuuummmmmmmmmm...I'm going to have to think about the pics...maybe!

Ok Marsha - I'm buying into this.....trying to think how it would be fair.....% improvement in size????  And we end Jan 1???  Measurements due by Sept 1 to start.  and what for the BLING??????  HMMMMM.....maybe a Road ID bracelet???  Any ideas on our friendly competition....I needed the extra motivation anyhow!!!  

OK...% improvement sounds good! I'm in! I will be submitting my bicep measurement (while flexing I assume?) tomorrow - I don't want to wait until Sept 1st as my training starts on Sunday so hopefully I will have already gained some by then! You want to make it as long as January 1st for the final? That's a loooong time to stay focused on that one thing..no? I just want to be sure neither of us gets bored with it before it's over! When are you starting P90X? How many weeks is a full rotation of that - 10? Maybe we should end the contest when that ends for you? My competition is the last week in October so I suspect you won't be done yet by then? I have a Road ID but could always use another color...gotta be fashionable ya know! So that sounds great - winner gets a new road ID!

Do we measure each bicep? Or just one side (which?) Just measure at the biggest point? I know (at least for now) my right side is a bit better than my left - LOL!

Anyone else in? Come on, it'll be off season fun!

Okay, we can start as soon as you get measurements.  Yes, I need to flex some...maybe to gain a 1/2 inch or so.. haha.  My P90X stops in 90 days.  I can start a little early so I'm more in line with your schedule.  I'll measure Sunday too - around the biggest part, whichever gun you choose.  We will end the competition on Halloween!!!  Sound good?  And if you find another gadget besides the road-ID, if you win, we can do something different.  haha..  I'm getting super excited now.  The game is on GIRLFRIEND!!!!

We'll exchange pictures with the measurement tape this Sunday and on Halloween!!!!  What a scary surprise that will be!

Bought P90X on Ebay - brand new for about $35 less than retail website!!  Next week I'm gunna start the pain.  Need to buy some weights and hang a pull-up bar!  I'm also gunna up my weight loss so I hit my 200lb goal by end of the year - hopefully earlier....28lbs to go.  I hope this major increase in core strength will make me faster in all three events!!!  That's my hope anyhow.  
 

You CAN do it! I'll be here to cheer you on!

Hmmm...I would be, but I'm signed up for a half-marathon on Halloween, so I think I'll be working on the run more than building sheer muscle before then, methinks. I'm cheering you guys on, though, while planning on dropping some body fat% at the same time!

Go Wilson and Marsha!  Looking forward to the results.  I also plan to up the weights but not until after my December 1/2 marathon.  So December and January will be my "off" months cuz I'll start tri training again in Feb for an April tri (the same one I did this year with a goal of beating my time).  But I'll be cheering you two on!

Hilde, I like those pics too!!!  Recovering from 12 hours shooting in and out of the blistering heat....I have lots of blisters on my feet and I'm tired!!!  Going to try and get a bike ride in tonight when it cools off some.....  

OK, did my measurement today.....I have a nice baseline to start from....haha

Right bicep flexed....a measly 13-7/8" - I also will post the evidence soon....gotta get it off my camera.

Okay, another flattering couple of photos to post... haha.....here goes nothing!!!  Got start somewhere right!!  Not sure why I post this kind of stuff....I guess it motivates me to keep moving forward and turn my physical fitness around.  I'll post my Jan pics and some pics today so you guys can see the HUGE difference in weight!

Thanks Peggy, that makes me feel better....I agree, Marsha is one tough amiga!!!  Maybe when we're all done we'll meet up and have an arm wrestling competition..haha.
