givemashot - 2011-01-17 6:57 PM So for those who have not seen my current facebook status, I fractured my humerus today. Not badly, but enough that I can't exactly lift my arm. Doc said I can run if it doesn't hurt, and if it doesn't throw my gait off when I do it. I probably won't be running if I make it to Carlsbad. 

givemashot - 2011-01-17 8:17 PM It's a greater tuberosity fracture. Nondisplaced, fortunately.  I have been a little pukey off and on this afternoon, too.

Glad you didn't sublux/dislocate that sucker. That is so odd that you fractured your greater tuberosity though! Hopefully the tendons that insert there are unmarred!

I think I am coming. I've been more sore and sleepy today, but I haven't had a pain pill for almost 6 hours now, (it's been every 4 hours and a whole pill before...the last one I took was only a half). So I think I'm on my way to doing better. I keep reassuring hubby that there are people for me to hang with and drive me around, even during the marathon. So I am taking it easy today, tomorrow we'll see how I'm feeling, but I think I'm going to make it to Carlsbad. I think.
