I don't know..........I ended up having to bow out of the July challenge, which I felt bad about - just too much on my plate right now

I set my goals pretty low for July because I knew I would not have a lot of time to give to it. Felt good that I made my goals. I have not signed up for the casual challenge for Aug, but thought I would give the abs one a try. Should be interesting.

August will be a lot more low-key.  I don't think there will be teams or anything.

Vacation in Minnesota Lakes...

Won't the water be cold?

Though I think I'd be kayaking all day....

it can be cold, but definitely tolerable   their cabin is in a bay so the water is great for water skiing!

OUCH!!!  I love to knee board, but my back, shoulders, and arms are sore right now, so that just sounds PAINFUL!!!!

Yup! That's why my trainer gets more of a workout than my road bike. Welcome to the south.

Uh... you live in the South... so the answer to that is YES!!!!  Everyday between 2:30 and 5:00pm!!! (at least that's about the times I remember from La)

Think of it this way... in a few minutes you will have unlimited access to the largest sauna in the world

Yup, I complain now, but when I'm doing rides in December in shorts and short sleeve jerseys I'll be ecstatic.  Good with the bad.

I think I would trade with you since in December I will be riding a SS mt bike with snow tires on it and 5 layers and still be cold!  And it only gets worst from there until April!

Ewwww!  I'm a cold weather wimp.  I need a heavy coat if it dips below 50.

Today's storm has one sweet lightning show, which means it's almost August.

Depends on the lake.  A few of the smaller, shallower lakes get up to 78 degrees...Lake Superior on the other hand, is almost a constant 48 degrees year round...Surprised
