Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Whips, Cattle Prods & Tiaras (Four-Is-More Challenge) I did loggable activity today! I can't say I ran, because I more like shuffled. Apparently bruising the bottoms of your feet is a bad thing? Who knew. Anyway, back to embarrassing basics for me, with a 1 min run and 2 min walk, [pause for pushups] done at an average of 3.7 mph (something like a 17 m/m pace). But you know what, I did it, and I avoided the Janet. Phew! Tendons still very slightly tender, but not hot, and still holding out. Many fingers (not holding tasers) crossed! |

Ohhhhhh Cat... wait until you see the shoes I just bought. Nothing says perfect outfit like matching shoes and taser.
Oh. Wow. I'm not sure which scares me more: the taser, the leopard print taser, or the fact that mila has and is excited about matching her taser and shoes.... I am SO not a girl! |

Yes... you did it and that's all that counts and even better that it wasn't too painful (either from tendons or tasers ).

LOL... no, I don't have that taser but I clearly need it! I absolutely hate to shop but I have a little bit of a problem with shoes. I like 'em. All kinds, basics to hott. Kinda funny since I pretty much live in flip flops, running shoes and cycling shoes. So anyway, the store was having this 80% off sale... |

I didn't mean to say you had it yet, just that you were so excited about the idea that your taser and your shoes could match. I suppose if I had a taser (which I would never have), I could match it to my shoes if it came in any of the following styles: hiking boot brown, running shoes dirty-white (why-oh-why are running shoes WHITE???), or mocs brown. Oh wait, the mocs and hiking boots match. Great, two outfits, one taser! |

Yeah, I think that's one of the style rules Vogue did a spread on; it's right up there with no white after Labor Day. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Whips, Cattle Prods & Tiaras (Four-Is-More Challenge) gilmurray - 2008-09-02 8:14 AM Thank you all. I could not remember the name - Ultra Swim. I'm in the middle of nowhere so it appears I can order it online. I currently do wear a cap, but since I have curly hair it just seems to be getting more dried out with every swim. Maybe I will consider shaving it. It's a thought. Put conditioner on your hair, under the cap, before you go swimming. The conditioner will help keep the hair from absorbing the clorine and water.

I'm trying to avoid the taser that Dee and Mila are threatening with, but I won't be logging any activity until tomorrow. I'm running to hide now, See ya.

I've been wanting to give yoga a try... It's definitely on my "to do" list sometime in the near future. Maybe once I get down to Sydney I can talk Cat into giving it a go with me. I just realized how that last sentence really sounded. Oh well... |

Veteran 150 | Subject: RE: Whips, Cattle Prods & Tiaras (Four-Is-More Challenge) I totally agree!! Who does that? Of course, I don't know if I would buy something that already came in the color "dirt". It's fun getting running shoes dirty. Actually there is such a thing as winter white, it's a staple in everyone's wardrobe here in Texas where winter doesn't go past 40 degrees. I want to see the shoes. Picture please!! |

Here's my new kicks. Felt great on the treadmill today. Hope this means lots of speed to come. Yeah, right! If I like these, I am ordering a few extra pair online (a bit cheaper than the little running store).
ETA: Hmmm, after checking them out online, I ended up with the men's version. Oh well, I still like them! Edited by ebshot 2008-09-03 3:26 PM (985-579443-d.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 985-579443-d.jpg (13KB - 7 downloads) |

The funny thing is I like snow, but I never get to see it here. I always have to go to a different state. Since I haven't been skiing in two years - no snow. Love the shoes. Just think of how much fun it will be to get them dirty!! Okay, I did get the taser yesterday, but I did one bike and one elliptical session today. So I'm back on track people. Please don't taser the baby, again!! I don't think Gizmo can take it. |
