Cat, sorry to hear about the tummy flaring up. I'm sending good thoughts that it will get back under control so you can continue to enjoy your training and upcoming race.

Sorry Im so whiny... I was feeling so good a couple of weeks ago and had done for a few months... guess Im just disappointed it hasnt lasted..

no worries...I too have shared my gastronomical frustrations in Nibbs.

In a couple of weeks it might be time to get really strict with eating... low dairy (no cheese/cream etc), maybe no gluten, very low saturated fats, no sugar, no caffiene, no brassica vegies (cabbage, broccolli, cauli flower), low commone allergins/irritants (soy/tomato/corneggs/peanuts)

Although maybe I will just do some of thos things... that would be a lot to give up! And i REALLY like food!

Sounds familiar...

okay, I know my diet sucks (though I haven't had a jelly bean since Nov!!!).... but what's left to eat by the time you give up all that???

Why is it so hard to figure out races for the upcoming season???

I wish that all the race orgs had the info online for 2009.

I'm with you there. Half the races that I've been trying to find aren't listed yet. Wish they would at least post their dates so that a person could plan.

I think all of our races are posted... now I've got to get registered, still deciding on some though...

Grandkids are doing okay.
Owen has recovered from the RSV and has breathing treatments daily.
Emma (1) is over her pneumonia (sp?)
Evan (4) is the healthy one
Aiden (5) was diagnoised on Tue with two ear infections and strep
Makes me glad that I'm not around them all the time. I think I'd be sick too.

I just received an e-mail for a bike race that I am highly considering...  It's called Little Red Riding Hood and is a fundraiser for breast cancer.
My problem is that there are so many races I want to do, but I want hubby to do some too, and then there's the whole work schedule to get around....

LOL. Yes, she and her hubby are so tired. We tried to do what we could this weekend, but with that many kids there is always something. And chances are the next assignment that hubby gets he will more than likely deploy. So that will really be tough for her. We are hoping that if he does depoly that she will hopefullly be close to part of the family.

YEs, I'm going to do some bike races so that I can do them with hubby. He wants to do a century, but I draw the line at 60 miles this year. I don't have the time to dedicate to training for a century right now.

We talked about doing an MS ride... it's a two day, we thought that he could do 75 one day, and I'd do 75 the other (then somebody would be able to stay with the kids)...

Unfortunately, the only men allowed at Little Red Riding Hood are course support (no male riders
