Even after the mouse incident huh?

Strange that would put the icing on the cake for my wife

We don't like cats either but my wife has considered getting one to keep the mice out of the garage.

I do like cats... grew up with them.  And Butterscotch, for the most part, is a fantastic cat.  The mouse thing doesn't bother me... I'm glad she caught the mouse.  It's her peeing and pooping on the floor in the basement - the FINISHED basement - is what bothers me (big time)...  But whenever I bring up the idea of sending her "away", my daughters start crying and my wife says no way.  But they don't spend much time in the basement.  I do.  The basement is my triathlon pain cave... my stinky, smelly (thanks to Butterscotch) triathlon pain cave.

Jeff Foxworthy has a routine about pets. It ends with talking about how his misbehaving pets "wandered away" while he was at school. Pretty funny.

Our cat captured another mouse last night.  Thank goodness she didn't bring it upstairs.  And double thank goodness she did it at a reasonable hour (11pm).   But this mouse was a quick little sucker and I had to chase it around the basement before I showed it who was boss.  Then, as Paul said, it "wandered away".

Got up and did a 50 min trainer ride this morning.  No afternoon workout planned... on the road for work all day.

Hmm, my turn to have sleeping problems.... No mice or forehead infections though!  Weird, I woke up at 2am and couldn't fall back to sleep until 4:45am.  So of course I was not getting up at 5am for my swim/yoga class.

Tonight I'm meeting up with a friend for some run intervals at a track.  I haven't done speed work since the spring... We'll see how dusty my legs are!

Not fun. Take it easy and get better soon. Until then, we'll try to keep our distance so we don't get "accidentally" tasered.

Believe me, yesterday, it would not have been accidental. I was *extremely* cranky.

Today, I'm sicker, but less cranky.... I have a feeling this is about to become bronchitis....

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. Bronchitis is not fun. It takes forever to recover from, affects your training for a long time, and keeps coming back. But I'm sure you already know all the stuff that makes bronchitis a horrible thing to get. Take it easy and get better soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Really slow day at work. I finished up my testing before lunch and sent it off to make sure it's ok. Haven't heard back and they don't have my next project ready yet.

Went for a run at lunch today. I'm really starting to enjoy these lunch workouts. I've been more consistent and am seeing improvements. I'm also able to tolerate the heat more than I used to.

HACKKKKKKKKK HACKKKKKKKKKKK. Bleh.

In other news --- since today is July 31, it's your last day to get yourself off the slacker list.

Need motivation? OK.... Start running. I'll be in my car, driving right behind you, with my brand new YELLOW C2 Taser. I got it in honor of the TdF, of course.

Well, it looks like I've been a total slacker in July -- that run was simply not happening for me.

Thanks to all for the support and motivation!  Have a great weekend and see you in August.

Finishing the month at 91.7.  Way over on running, 100% on PT, and less than 50% on swimming.  Oh well.

HACKKKKKKKK HACKKKKKKKKKKK. This cough is driving me crazy.

Er, crazier.

Its official.  I am a total slacker. I had a great month on the Tdf challenge, and I think I did ok on the secondary (posting) challenge but I really missed it on my other goals. I'm putting myself on the slacker list and moving to Slackerville and I'm staying there until I can redeem myself.

All I ask is that your gentle with me Dee because I don't think I can handle getting all the tasings I deserve at the same time. Can we set up some kind of schedule or something?
