I'm getting ready for a dinner!! Made some jambalaya pasta and cookies.

I also figured out the tractor and had an interesting experience being a farm girl and getting the drive way ploughed...

Then I had to manually do some of it...Oh man...

Dr Farm Girl Melindy!

The jambalaya sounds great! Did you save some for me?

Woke up to snow here. and it is supposed to be windy windy windy. That usually means lots of trees and branches to clean up. YUCK.

Stay warm Ghouligans.

Confession time.  I may just have a mean streak. This morning I was at the Y early for a swim. Since I got there when it opened, I was parked fairly close to the front. As I got in my car to leave, I saw a guy in a jeep who was clearly waiting for my spot. Now, it was only 8:30 am so there was plenty of parking. I decided to check e-mail,  the weather, and play a game of stick wars before pulling back.

Good grief, you came to the gym to work out. Is walking an additional 25-30 steps that big a deal?  BTW, the driver was a young man. I wouldn't have played that game with a senior citizen.

While I'm on a roll, here is my approach to handling nuisance telemarketing calls. In spite of putting my number on the 'no-call' list, I still get a fair number of calls.  I act very interested in what they have to say and ask them to tell me everything about what they are selling...in detail. Then I put the phone down and walk away. I estimate it takes them at least 2 minutes to figure out I'm not listening. That saves at least 2 or 3 other people from getting a call vs if I just hang up on them.

Yep. We got about 2 inches. It is melting some but it is getting bone azz cold tonight (13 !!!!!!) and 15 MPH winds. YUCK. We usually don't get snow before January. Last year we had a blizzard on the 19th that stuck around until February. That is NOT the south! However, it was fun to throw snow balls for the dog this am.

This 200+ year old house does not do the combination cold plus wind very well at all.

I feel silly whining about cold in front of Melindy.

Wow Robin, that is early. It was really cold earlier this week, but is in the mid-50's today. I suspect there is a front heading our way though.

She is young. She can handle it. Most days I am either freezing or having hot flashes.
