kcarroll - 2010-12-12 2:22 PM Confession time.  I may just have a mean streak. This morning I was at the Y early for a swim. Since I got there when it opened, I was parked fairly close to the front. As I got in my car to leave, I saw a guy in a jeep who was clearly waiting for my spot. Now, it was only 8:30 am so there was plenty of parking. I decided to check e-mail,  the weather, and play a game of stick wars before pulling back. 

Good grief, you came to the gym to work out. Is walking an additional 25-30 steps that big a deal?  BTW, the driver was a young man. I wouldn't have played that game with a senior citizen.

Hi Robin! Hi Melindy! I don't get by much during the week these days, but work is good so I shant complain. 

kcarroll - 2010-12-12 2:31 PM While I'm on a roll, here is my approach to handling nuisance telemarketing calls. In spite of putting my number on the 'no-call' list, I still get a fair number of calls.  I act very interested in what they have to say and ask them to tell me everything about what they are selling...in detail. Then I put the phone down and walk away. I estimate it takes them at least 2 minutes to figure out I'm not listening. That saves at least 2 or 3 other people from getting a call vs if I just hang up on them.

Yep. We got about 2 inches. It is melting some but it is getting bone azz cold tonight (13 !!!!!!) and 15 MPH winds. YUCK. We usually don't get snow before January. Last year we had a blizzard on the 19th that stuck around until February. That is NOT the south! However, it was fun to throw snow balls for the dog this am.
