I think I am coming. I've been more sore and sleepy today, but I haven't had a pain pill for almost 6 hours now, (it's been every 4 hours and a whole pill before...the last one I took was only a half). So I think I'm on my way to doing better. I keep reassuring hubby that there are people for me to hang with and drive me around, even during the marathon. So I am taking it easy today, tomorrow we'll see how I'm feeling, but I think I'm going to make it to Carlsbad. I think.  


Glad to hear you are doing a little better.  Hopefully in a couple more days you'll be up to the trip!


Adding my get wells and encouraging you to come. I'm not running. We can hang and find something to entertain us during the race. Pack light. Have the airline take you to the gate on the cart. We'll take care of you in CB.

Amy, go to Carlsbad! If I didn't have this whole crazy heart rate thing I'd be gone, even though I couldn't run. You'll have fun, you'll get a little R&R, and yes, your Ghoulies will take care of you!

Crazy morning this morning. I got up at 4:30 and got ready for work, so I could be there by 6:00. I was checking my email as I always do when I'm having breakfast. There was a winter weather advisory, but it was 35 out. I blew it off. It is .2 miles from my house to the stop sign below the house, I slid down the road to it and wasn't sure I was going to stop. I should have just turned around then, but I kept going. A little further down the road I practically crawled down a hill, but still slid a little there. I kept telling myself if I could just get to the main roads I'd be fine.

I got in town, no real problem, then went to get on the highway, things went wrong there. I slid on the onramp and the heart rate skyrocketed, it wouldn't slow down. I went up the highway until I hit a place I could turn around, then I headed home and climbed in bed. The HR was going haywire for almost an hour. I have a massive headache now, and I'm drained. I'm going to go back to bed for awhile.

I'm a bit surprised that school isn't delayed today. My son's bus just went by so it's running almost 15 minutes behind normal.

Thanks Kendra. I see the second cardiologist tomorrow, hopefully we have some answers soon.

Hi guys. I had a rough night last night. Well, really it wasnt bad until about 530 this morning. This morning has been rough, between pain and nausea from the pain meds, and oh yeah my 8 yr old threw up all over after my hubby left for work this morning. Good times. I just ate lunch, and I am trying out plain tylenol in place of the percocet for the afternoon. I figure if the pain isnt bad enough to cancel out the narcotic nausea, hopefully I can get away with non-narcotic pain relief.

Ann, sorry to hear that you had another go-round with tachycardia. It sucks! I hope you're getting some good rest, and feeling better now. Please let us know how you cardiology appointment goes tomorrow. Are they doing any procedure tomorrow, or just an office visit?

Tomorrow is the appt with the different cardiologist, he's the one who will do the procedure to try and cause the arrhythmia's so he can figure out how to stop them.

Maybe he'll figure out it is all work related since it often happens on the drive to work.  then you can get disability and stay home full time because work causes you to be ill.
