Hi Pam and Dee,

No news... a very high level admin guy for the system here in Richmond has to sign off since the position is new.  Once he does his signing off, HR can release the position for hiring and they can call me to offer it officially. My DH has gotten the admin about 2 or 3 layers above him involved--to pull the strings with my current managers when the offer is made so I may not have to stay in the ER through March as would be the case at this point (please, dear God--get me outta there).  It's kind of complicated in the layers of administration--I like being a pee on cause now I know a whole lot more than I should and well, I just don't want it to come bite any of us in the butt...

Well, that's not actually "no news" -- that's a light at the end of the tunnel. You just can't tell exactly how long the tunnel is, though. LOL

But it does sound like things are moving in a positive direction!

maybe we should team up cause I'm in for 65...

That sounds like a plan, Judi. I will try to keep my whining to a minimum. Any news from the cath lab?

Can I come visit your team thread and whine there? LOL

Of course. We can even share LD's. I think I'll visit your thread also. SamuelK is hot! (I have a thing for skinny cyclists)

Skinny cyclists? Hm. I dunno.... Although they generally have great legs.

Yep. A narrow hiney with massive quads. Sometimes I love drafting off my riding partners

I've always found that when I saw the light at the end of the tunnel it meant one of two things !. It's a train headed my way 2.  Someone just extended the tunnel

Neither is a pleasant thought

May is the earliest we'll be able to advertise and interview.

Although, I've heard whisperings of a "hiring freeze."

As you can imagine, said "whispers" did not make me happy.

OK, remind me not to write any more "tunnel" posts.

HI PAM, JUDI, & DEE!!!

Dee, kudoos to you lady.  I can't believe you are heading up Feb challenge with all that you have on your platter with work.  Don't know how you do it woman?

Sorry I've been astray, but between work and skiing, I haven't had much internet time myself.

Um. No sleep. No working out. No lunch.

That about sums it up.

But I really like this idea of letting everyone sign themselves up for the challenge. They can change their goals 20 times, and I don't need to do a thing! LOL

Yeah, but if you want to keep them, you'll have to STOP posting. And that's, um, not the goal of Nibbs. LOL

Although, if you post really really really fast -- you'll get them all back soon.

Of course, how could I forget that one...

BTW, here's a bummer.... went to update the Jan spreadsheet before leaving work... now it's BLOCKED!!!  Hope they don't end up blocking BT, I will never get my training log updated.

Next on list... get a laptop I can bring to work (with wireless internet)  Might mean more time at the coffee shop though.

Maybe the "higher ups" need to start spending more time in the gym themselves, then get them hooked on BT.

Of course that could invade our privacy.
