Is it wrong to be looking at it longingly? I did an 8-hour run in a past life...I sucked, but the idea is still exciting. 5 mile loop. (There's also a 24-hour version, but I'm thinking this is something I should work into. - oh, and there's the matter of talking Sugar Daddy into it...) As much s I love running, I think that one hits the level of insanity. Now once I get on my own schedule next week I can go out longer in the morning pre work (YAY!!! I hate wasting half an hour runs, I love distance) Hey Judi, and you and Kirsten pass on some of that running love stuff! I like it, but just have not been able to say the word "love" and "run" in the same sentence! I did get some new running shoes that I love to try and run in! there it is!!!....love and run in the same sentence! See you already have helped!!! Ive always thought the trick was to say it until you beleive it... will let you know if I ever beleive it |

Just wondering.... Me me!!! We wrapped up the interviews today. It was strange - to me, at least. The person in charge just wanted us to rank everyone. There was no discussion about what we thought. I dunno. I was expecting us all to talk about it? (Ie: who would do the best job, or fit into the department best, etc.) I guess it's just a personality thing. I wanted to talk. The committee chairperson just wanted to be done with it.... I dunno. I feel disturbed by the lack of discussion somehow. Then again, I *am* a chatter.... Just in case you didn't notice. LOL |

Maybe the committee chair was trying to make you guys feel included. Because I don't think you can tell jack by ranking alone. Oooh, the red rescue tube! Yay! Previously, I had thought the committee made the decision as a group. But I wasn't impressed by the whole process. There were no guidelines given, or procedures discussed... We just went in, did the interviews, made the rankings, and left.... So you may be right - we may have just been a formality (or a sounding board if the chairperson got stuck). Who knows.... Disturbing avatars are good. Disturbing things at work at not. Thanks for being a sounding board. Edited by D001 2008-05-15 9:17 PM |
