Triathlynne - 2008-06-05 6:40 PM Yeah it does but I never say anything to the kids. When I go and complain and the front desk of course there are no kids in the pool. Like it's my imagination! Sheesh.  I got fed up and called corporate. I pay for the bloody thing and I don't want my swim interrupted by kids jumping in. There are plenty of other pools around for that.  I suppose I am just a big Scottish grouch. I take this after my Dad. He complains about EVERYTHING! LOL

Don't apologise for being a grouch.....We Scots are genetically predisposed to be that way.....and we are supposed to go "yellin' oor heids aff at a' da' bloody gallus weans birling in tae da pool on oor heid when were trying tae get a wee swim up and doon, nae whit a mean doll? Whit's dat aw aboot....eh?"

NB: Please ask Lynne if you need the above sentenced translated for those of you non-Scots TNT'ers

thats hilarious! but now you have to clean up the water I just spewed all over my computer monitor while reading it! too funny! thanks for the laughs!

lyssa-gator - 2008-06-05 7:57 PM grrrr....everytime i try to get into my own dang log, my whole stoopid computer freezes up!! startin to really irk me!

I hate it when that happens.....sometimes if you right click your start and go to your control panel and then delete your cookies and temporary internet files (offline files, too) this will help...will also help to speed up your computer. I do this to my computer on a weekly basis....sometimes more!

Lock up? As in... you can't enter numbers? Or you can't access the sheet at all?

Maybe try logging out, and then logging in again.

Or try this linke instead:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-CBJ0aKc55XMA&hl=e...

Let me know what happens.

BTW, since I measure my swims in yards I'm going to translate 7 miles to 12320 yards for reporting purposes.

That's fine. I thought the miles might be more difficult to track. (Unless for example, you swim a mile each day. Then it becomes easier to do it that way.)

I tried loggin out and back in and then even rebooted my laptop and tried again and just get same problem. It looks like it is trying to open the spreadsheet and I get the top line of the page that has "Google Docs, [email protected], but I get nothing showing below this.

It might be some sort of firewall issue since I am logging on at work and this place is locked down better than the Pentagon! I will try again later.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is me...

  • ..freaking out.

  • HIM is next weekend and last night during my running intervals class my IT band decided to be a beeeeeyotch. I am in so much pain. I could barely get through the workout last night. We had hill repeats...and of the 7 prescribed...i got through two. One as a pace that was slower than my normal average...and 1 hobbling.

    I am sooooo not amused.

I need to some quick recovery vibes for the little time left I had in taper.

(I really just needed to whine for a moment to give my husband a break from my constant state of panic)

    Hi Chatty Team!

I can't keep up with you all, but know that I'm in on all the chattiness in spirit :-)

Good luck with the IT band this weekend-- my constant self-created PT plan for IT is ice, advil, stretching, ice, ice, ice. For me it seriously helps, along with the foam roller and some good old-fashioned whining at it to cooperate every once in a while.

I am taking the GREs today, and then I'll be back in the tri training/marathon training game, so don't worry about my low #s for this week, I've got a good excuse. That and some strange stomach issues that I am really hoping are just nerves left over from my race last week and GREs this week... we'll see after the test is over I guess.

What's everyone got on tap for the weekend? I have a 3 mile run today, 6 miler tomorrow, and a long hike on sunday (trying to get ready for 2 weeks of backpacking at altitude in july). And a bike ride and some yoga in there hopefully too!

They are filming a movie in my building today, and it sounds like they are about to start shooting so I should get out of here before I am stuck in my apartment due to the hundreds of people in the way...

Hang in there.....you still have a week and you were probably tapering anyway so plenty of time to give it some rest. Don't freak out......you've done the work before now anyway and conquered your fear of the ride part of the 70.3 last weekend when you done the Iron-Cross.

You will do great, just get some rest, take lots of deep breaths and keep coming back here if you freak out and we will be here to support ya.
