I woke up with a sore throat Welcome back! How was your trip? It seems to be the time of year for sore throats and colds. I hope to stay healthy until November 3 after the NYC mary, after that I can let myself break down and get sick. Unexpected TOPPAGE! Edited by LazyMarathoner 2008-10-18 11:01 AM |

I love being thin (was once over 200 lbs....) but sometimes I can find my size but not a style I like and other times it's a style/color I like but not my size. QueenZipp - 2008-10-18 9:21 AM LazyMarathoner - 2008-10-18 7:34 AM Good morning Zipp, I should have known you'd be up! Ha, I slept in and crawled out of bed around 7:45 today! So much for an early start on my run. I need to go shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding in a couple weeks too. Dress shopping is either incredibly fun or incredibly frustrating. Good luck! |

It's a "very blustery day today, Pooh" Way to go on the goal! I was looking at the spreadsheet last night and we seem to be right on track as a team. After my 20 tomorrow, I'll be about 70% of the way and finishing shouldn't be a problem unless I get further injured. |

Don't want to brag or anything, just glad that I got it done before leaving on Sunday. Just told boyfriend too that I completed my 25 miles. He was surprised more than anything... When we talked about the challenge, he said I should put down a goal of 20 miles. HAH! I guess telling me that I can't do something works good for me too. SA WEET!! Great job! |

They already think I'm nuts so I have to be careful. So after two small (ok, maybe not so small) beers, I'm headed out for 4-5 depending on how I feel. I realize that makes me a horrible triathlete, but I'm not much of one anyway these days so I can't do much more damage. Hopefully I'll be reporting back in an hour or so about what a good run I had! I'm not expecting it to be my fastest, but it will be nice. We have perfect crisp fall weather in NYC. I might wear my first long sleeves of the season. Beer first. Run second. I see you've got your priorities in order. I do try to keep my priorities straight. I thought it would be appropriate to wear my favorite running shirt this evening as well: You might need Drunkey Monkey with that shirt. |

I hope I have the energy to speed up and not slow down. TOPPAGE!!!! You feel good about that pace? |

My legs have felt tired that last 4 days, but I think Zipp said it best, "Taper Madness." The funny thing is half and full marathons are the same course through mile 12, and I think laura will be ahead of me through that point since I will need to pace myself a litle better since I am going twice as far. |

I've missed a lot of training in the past 10 weeks due to my broken shoulder but in a lot of ways, I'm better off than I have been for past marathons (told you I don't train properly). The 20-miler is critical for getting me through the mary and I'll also use it to finally settle my goal time.
