wgraves7582 - 2010-03-08 1:37 PM Ann(e) - is that shop the closest one to you?  Philly or Pittsburgh would have some or is there family involved as well?  I think I remember that you have some relatives there?  Or am I Iosing my mind - lol

I live in the middle of south central PA. I don't have relatives at either end of the state.

There are some smaller shops around, but they don't carry much. The place I'm going to is less than an hour from me and they have a bigger selection. I'm hoping maybe I'm even lucky enough to get a model from a previous year at a discount.

The place is called Race Pace, they have 4 or 5 stores in MD.

Is this blood or crips territory?? - lol

I think the gangs are based off of what color tractor you drive.

Ahhh - the Deeres and the also rans right? - lol

We are a Ford tractor family.

There are JD's around, too.

Bonktown has had nothing good in days.

I just want a jacket I can wear this spring when I'm riding outside.

Is that too much to ask?

Hey Ghoulies! I got 15 miles in over lunch today and had a nice ride. My sit bones feel like they're starting to acclimate a bit (finally!), I'm figuring out the basics of shifting and cadence bit by bit, and my neck is ALMOST used to the riding position

I had to cancel my swim today, but I'll be able to make it up later this week no problem. Run and ST tomorrow...

Ok gang.  I'm going to head out early and see if my knee will cooperate for a short run.  Just for grins and giggles, thought I'd leave you a video to check out.  It made me laugh today.

Hey all. I am too lazy to go back the pages and pages I have missed. I did scan them but..... like I said, I am lazy today. It was beautiful today. I should have done yard work. Nope, I did my long run, took a nap and read a book. The first daffodil opened up today in the yard!! Got the first crocus going as well. No matter what comes up with weather, spring is taking hold! My run today was 10.7 miles on the dread mill. In spite of it being perfect weather I did not want to have to run by the bridge construction work, several groups of houses being built with the compliment of construction workers. That is what happens when I don't do my long run on Sunday. None of those people work then. Ah well, the run was slow, slow, slow but I got er done!
Hope you all have wonderful Ghoulie evenings. I am going to a friends for dinner while the DH has a political meeting. This will be becoming a treand I bet!

Nice job Robin

So my big bike ride did not go as planned tonight.

It was 58 out, but breezy. I had no tights, they were all still wet in the washing machine. I thought I'd be fine in shorts and long sleeves, I probably would have been.

I had a flat and I have more problems pumping up tires than is legal. I wanted to get out of the house by 4:30, it was more like 4:45 until I got going.

I was moving along ok, lots of hills the first couple of miles but something didn't feel right. After 6 miles I stopped to take a look and I realized the back brakes were rubbing. I adjusted them but dropped my bike in the process. I started moving again and I hear a loud pinging noise.

I stopped again at the top of the hill to take a look. It sounds like it's coming from the front but I'm not 100% sure. I also started having problems shifting. I should have taken a right and headed out to finish my ride, but I went straight and headed home.

I still need to take a look so I can ride tomorrow night. If I can't figure it out I'll have my husband drop it off at the LBS at the end of the week while it's raining.

Sorry about the suckish ride Ann. Hopefully once the LBS has had a look it'll be back and ready to do your bidding the next time you decide to head out and b-slap some asphalt. Will it be quicker to take it to your usual LBS or to take it with you when you go shopping for a TT bike?

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-08 6:45 PM Evening everyone - just played Maytag Man and fixed my oven.  Had to fix the ignitor $52 for part and labor was free

Nice to have friends show what the problem was and all I had to do was replace and re-install all the removed parts!

Now off to LBS for a new bike lock.  Mine was frozen locked after taking it to Florida and not thinking about it and leaving it out all winter long in the garage.  Mistake learned.  Need a lock to lock her up so ta ta for now!

Nice job.

then it was out with a friend (that i dd the swim with) for coffee and chat.

she just tickles my funny bone, she's soooo funny.  a new friend to me.  and im glad she's in my circle.  she used to swim w the master swim team. but took this season off to be home with her kids.  but she announced all the races at our home swim meet and we just clicked.

were gonna get together again next Monday.

having a nice chilaxing evening here at home w the boys.  DH is out working on his townhouse.  the more time he puts in, the closer we are to moving forward.  hopefully by the weekend of the 20th.

im taking my bike for a tune up tomorrow and then meeting a friend for lunch.  the weather looks rideable over the next couple of days.  im hoping to get out on Saturday to ride at least an hour or so, down at the park.

just so nice to see the sun, breath the fresh air.

spring is on the way.
