All that talk of foot surgery does not sound fun!!   Scott, I hope the surgery and the healing go well and quickly!  How long will she wait before having the 2nd surgery?

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-07 5:04 AM I just noticed if I keep my swim at it's current level this month - I will have over 24,000yds - that is a personal record beyond all recognition!

Very cool, Bill... It sounds like you are liking swimming more & more.  Glad it was awesome today.

Last week we did a "complex 1000" in Masters group.  I really liked it.   Made it much more interesting to swim a distance.

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-07 8:03 AM The sun is supposed to shine today!

We've had rain for 6 of the last 10 days. It is supposed to be warm and sunny for the next 5 which is just perfect. We have an action packed weekend planned.

Tomorrow is my final 20 miler. Tomorrow night is a party with friends and family down at the In-laws house. Complete with bonfire and hayride.

Saturday morning is kiddo soccer. Then Saturday night is the party at our house with our friends, the kids have a few friends coming, too.

Sunday I am doing a Warrior Dash. Then in the evening, down at the In-laws again is another party with bonfire and hayride for the church, and whoever else wants to show up.

Monday the kiddos and I have off, my husband is only working half a day and then we are going to go hiking.

Wow!  That IS action-packed.  Sounds like lots of fun!

Some friends wanted to do a Warrior dash out here, but the description of slogging thru the knee high marsh mud didn't appeal to me.  Kudos to you for doing it all.

ironannekidd - 2010-10-07 5:25 AM I have realized while struggling to do pushups this month that I have no upper body strength. I need to work on that.

Yeah, I find that my biceps are okay but the triceps need work.  And I changed my abs workout.  Ow!

After all of the running I've done this summer I signed up for it just for something different and fun. A friend of mine is doing it, too. He is racing it, I'm just running it. The last thing I want to do is get injured 3 weeks from my marathon.

Weekend plans: Not a whole lot.  Might run a 5 or 10k on Sunday.  Other than that Iowa has a bye week so there goes my excuse to hang out with my brother

We have nephew and family coming down for the day on Saturday to go out to the gun range for target practice.  He's gearing up for elk season.  He just got back from getting a moose in Alaska.  I will probably go out to the range too since his daughter and girl-friend are coming.

I need to get some paperwork done for work by the weekend .... ugh!!!!

Sunday,  probably church and relaxing.    And of course my workouts!!  Smile

But the next weekend, we are back to the dunes to ride the atvs!
