I am going to finish wrapping some presents for the "angel kids" and bake some gignergbread men to put in their packages.
We have a party to go to tonight. We weren't going to go but since we live where many (MANY) retired people are and the roads will be a bit dodgy, we figured we'd better show. It is a benefit for the local toys or tots program. We can walk to it if we have to. The good side is they will have good wine and food and fewer people to partake of it!

ceilidh - 2010-12-12 2:39 PM This 200+ year old house does not do the combination cold plus wind very well at all.

I feel silly whining about cold in front of Melindy.

She is young. She can handle it. Most days I am either freezing or having hot flashes.

Ain't it the truth! Sad.... but true.

kcarroll - 2010-12-12 2:35 PM Robin, did you say you were getting snow???? Wow, that is early. We had a few flurries on Friday, but it got warm and rainy today.

Yep. We got about 2 inches. It is melting some but it is getting bone azz cold tonight (13 !!!!!!) and 15 MPH winds. YUCK. We usually don't get snow before January. Last year we had a blizzard on the 19th that stuck around until February. That is NOT the south! However, it was fun to throw snow balls for the dog this am.

So true. I will happily do yard work until the cows come home (metaphorically speaking, as I don't actually have any bovines) but I am way past the point of cleaning toilets. I am soooooo very lucky to have 'K.' She loves to clean. I am quite content to pay her to do that for me.

In my defense "when I am a doctor" is when I am about 29 and making the big bucks...I feel that is an acceptable age. I currently do clean and it is the bain of my existance. Haha.

Ya...29...so I finish med school when I am 25...then 4 yrs of residency...so 29...ya....

But then I will probably subspecialize...and have a 5 yr residency not a 4...so I'll be 30...So maybe I will have to wait until then? Haha.

Was skimming the page and almost missed this one

Definitely not warm here.  Overnight low is -12, but I think the winds will die down to under 25 mph and its stopped snowing so that's a bonus.  I left my apartment to get the mail last night but that was it.  I picked a good few days to rest my shins.

It would have been a shame if you had missed it...then you would not be aware of me being cold and having the opportunity to warm me up

I went out last night to a Xmas party and we went to this outdoor light exhibit at a garden place....sooooo cold....we only stayed about 30min because we couldn't take it anymore.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Sorry I missed you this weekend, Kim.

I'm at home today Ghoulies.  I was up, showered, dressed, had breakfast, played with my pups for a few minutes, and headed off to work earlier. I was less than 2 miles from my house when I felt a wave of dizziness come on. I was headed to the gas station, since an empty tank won't get me far. I sat there for a few minutes until the dizziness passed then I headed home. The HR was still pounding, but I didn't feel like I was going to pass out. I walked in the door and went straight back to my bedroom and crawled in bed completely dressed. My husband was making the bed, so it was perfect to crawl in.

The HR has gone back to normal, but now I have a headache and I'm drained. I do have to get out of the house today to get dog food, I'm completely out. That can wait a bit though, they ate this morning. Too bad I didn't have the holter monitor on this morning.

I'll be back in a bit.

Hey.ghouls! I'm procrastinating by not getting up to go to school but I'm hungry and that is taking over my lack of getting up desire. Sorry about your morning Ann! Not fun-sounds like your SVT is acting up. It is too bad the holter wasn't on to record it so the dr. Could see what was going on! Hope you feel better as the day goes on!
