Offthegrid - 2009-03-09 7:27 AM morning, peepers! Er, I mean team! I got a swim in this a.m., so I'm already peach. If it's not raining, I also plan to walk at lunch and then I have my first new swim lesson tonight! Daylight saving time has me all messed up. I hate it!

Nice early peach, Susie!  Have fun with the new swim lesson!  That's exciting!

The rain and wind were relentless and with inadequate gear, I was only able to get in 16.72 miles completed before my body called it quits.
The last 4 miles I must have been carrying an additional 3 to 5 lbs of weight due to the water that soaked into the clothes, and it was very tough moving with all the water sopped up in the pants.

16.72 miles total distance.
3 hr 37 min 58.75 secs total time

Winds are Northeast at 16 Gusting to 24 MPH. The pressure is 29.64" and the humidity is 96%.
The wind chill is 22. Rain Fog/Mist and 33 degrees F.

What a miserable day it was.  And now it's SNOWING!

Hey, I got my PEACH the hard way, at least.

Well, I'm still amazed! That's a huge run in nasty conditions. Way to go.

But I have to ask... How can you live in Wisconsin and not have adequate inclement weather gear??

I'm cheap, and I never, ever planned to run in weather like THAT!

LazyMarathoner - 2009-03-08 10:00 AM Morning peepers. I had a little setback on the cold/sore throat/allergies front so I'm going to give it a few hours before deciding if I'll swim or not. But don't worry, I'll get in my 10 minutes!

You should become a Donkey now!

Can I??? I'm from the midwest. I'm doing Moo. I'm doing HHH. And I'll be hanging out in Madtown for at least 2 weeks this year. That's good enough, right?

Talk with BT member jszat (Joe Szatmary).  He's the Donkey "sensei", and shoot the shat in the Wisconsin forum once in awhile.

disturbed275 - 2009-03-08 9:51 PM K, how's the throat, allergy, cold thingy coming along?

Ugh, it sucks. I'm totally voiceless right now. Whenever I'm in a loud place where I have to speak up I lose my voice. My throat is on fire right now. I picked up some nasty herbal tea my coach recommended and am going to start on that and hope it works.

If someone took away the crackberry and laptop from you, I think you wouldn't know what to do with yourself.

mchally - 2009-03-08 9:13 PM The weather has been erratic and nasty in these parts as well.

Here too! Friday we had beautiful weather, turned off the heat opened some windows had a great 5.5 mi run outside in just a long sleeve shirt!

Today woke to the stupid white stuff! Not too much but enough to not run outside. Cold and yucky out.

It is raining here, but not snowing.

You're getting what I was running in yesterday.  It wasn't fun.
