In the last week and a half I have read a book about robert the bruce (scotlands struggles against england), Queen Anne (killed by king henry), Ivanhoe(king richard/robin hood), maid marian(robin hood), 2 others that involve the whole king Arthur thing, one about Sir Percival...and I feel like I am leaving one out... I am staring at the books that I haven't read yet and I see...A Conneticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (twain), The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood(Pyle) and The Story of King Arthur(Pyle) and Black horses for the King (McCaffrey, the story of finding the horses to carry king Arthur's knights) Seriously...a third of the books I have at the moment are set in King Arthur or King Richard's England! I think the next book I read will be A Conneticut Yankee... Or I could read Uncle Tom's Cabin. Nah, I am leading towards more light hearted books for the time being. Maybe, just maybe, deep down you want a little chivalry in your life? |
