I am moving out west.  You should come do an Xterra out here!  Roots/rocks/stumps/bumps/jumps/lumps/bruises!!!!!

They said the one I did was the hardest mtn bike course on the whole circuit and I believe them!

Too bad it is so early or I could try and do one in Colorado next week before TransIowa - that would be real smart right

Many would probably disagree with my above statement.  But, I think its all perspective.  I do alot of my training in Santa Cruz which is very similar to the conditions you described.  Then when you get out on the races, its a mix of fireroad, rolling single track, and some small rock gardens.

Which XTERRA did you do?  It sounds like a lot of fun.

Darn.  I got in the pool today and developed the worst headache.  Struggled through the first part of the workout, then just cut it short.  The only thing I can think of is dehydration, but during my ride earlier I hydrated at my normal rate.  Drank my Recoverite at the end of the ride as normal and consumed 16 ounces of water per hour for the next two hours.  Not really sure what happened.

Artemis - 2010-04-06 4:13 PM Sorry I haven't checked in or come up with goals.  I was gone over the weekend, but managed to run a 5k.  Got sick with food poisoning last night, so I missed out on my bike class last night.  Not sure when I'm going to be able to get back into it.  Sorry team!

I hope you feel better soon!

Got a run in tonight on the Y track and then got my swim in.  I had fun racing the guy I shared a lane with.  He looked not too slow from outside the pool so I'm pretty psyched!

brick94513 - 2010-04-06 9:52 AM WOW!  I'm really stoked right now.  I just got back from my ride and this is the first time I've averaged 20 MPH since my injury.  Really nice out today, but swirling winds, pretty much the norm for this time of year.  I got in just over 41 miles staying in aero about 80 percent of the time.  I felt pretty good except for some lower back sorness about mile 30.

Yaaaaay!! (well, not about the soreness...)

OK Bill, let's try this again.  I think I could build this bike at roughly 20 lbs.  I just don't want to shell out the money for a new one.  Been watching Ebay for a used one.

Hey looky here...Tim got the picture to come through!

Ok, I see now that this has already been addressed!

Wow, where is everyone today? Is it just me or does it seem like a slow day? I can't even think of something clever to say here so I guess I will head off to watch a bit of tv then hit the sack! Night all (or should I say morning since everyone, with the exception of maybe Jay, will read this in the morn?!)

got caught up at work and didn't leave till about 6:15ish...which was actually a good thing.  Had I left at 5, I would have gotten poured on with rain.  Instead I got my ride on the trainer and watched a dvd.

The bad news is, you missed a workout... the good news is, you haven't come up with goals yet, so you didn't really "miss" the workout!!!  Hope you're feeling better, Jen!

Over 40 miles averaging over 20mph... very, very impressive!!!

No morning workout today.  Heading to the Y at lunch for a long swim.  I'm just planning to swim as long as I can... maybe an hour.  Temps are supposed to hit 90 here to day... NICE!

I'm coaching my 10-y-o daughter's first softball game tonight.  She woke up and said she's feeling very nervous and her stomach hurt.  Sounds like how I feel before every race.  I didn't want to tell her that, since it's my first game as a coach, I'm just as nervous as she is.  Can't wait!

Thanks Bill#2Laughing  But, the course was pretty flat with just shy of 1,000 ft ascent.  I'm just excited to be seeing my way back after being set back from injuries.

Good morning "A" team!  Caught a case of insomnia last night.  Woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep, so I thought I would try to sneak a west coast post in before Bill.  Hmmm... no such luck!
