Good morning Ghoulies. Hope that you are all having a fantastic time in CA.

I had oral surgery on Thursday and the left side of my face is swollen up like a balloon. Good thing I wasn't going to be traveling this weekend.

Have a great race tomorrow.

Anne and I will hold down the east coast while all the Ghoulies are out playing on the west coast.

Morning!

I hear some Ghoulies wakening. It was a late night last night waiting for Melissa to arrive. It made for a long day for the travelers. We had honorary margaritas for you all and helped Neal usher in his next decade.

It looks like of all of us, there may only be 2 runners tomorrow. I am still undecided. Kinda funny that the race was the reason to be here. Oh well, life happens!

Kendra, sorry about the surgery. OUCH!!! hope you don't have much pain. Ann, have fun with the friends and wings!

Big basketball game this morning. My daughter's team won 60-12. It was 32-8 at halftime. My daughter only scored 2 pts, but she took several shots. The time she did score she got a rebound and took the ball down the court and scored. WOOHOO!!!

My son got a call last night, he won a $25 dollar gift certificate from the bank. They had a kids day 3 weeks ago and I put both kids names in. After the game I took him to get his gift certificate, then I took him to Walmart where he spent $19.01 of it already. The husband and kiddos are going to be doing some running around while I'm out this afternoon so he will most likely spend the rest of it then.

I had a good day out. There was beer, wings, a margarita that I don't think had much tequila in it, a good time with friends, and birthday presents. Our waitress was not good at all, but she didn't ruin our day.

I thought of you all today, I hope you're having a good weekend, too.

Quick update: Neal and Melissa had terrific runs, although Melissa had to contend with a mean spirited tripper. The elbow is a little raw, but otherwise ok. The tripper is reportedly going to make it. The rest of us sherpa'd and had coffee. After lunch and margarita's most of the Ghoulies could be found napping in the sun around the pool. It was pretty tame all around, other than Neal playing with his lemons in his lounge chair.
