I think I have a touch of the kiddie krud! I was running a fever last night and just feeling yucky. I went to bed at 6:30 last night.

I'm at work this morning, but I'm not feeling great. We will see how things go.

The DH and I are still coughing and hacking. We cannot seem to ditch this crud.

We are migrating machines here to Windows 7. There have been no less than 4 emails that went out to tell people that last night their machines would be reimaged. There are posters up all over the place saying that Windows 7 and Office 2010 were coming, and they had the date on them.

This morning people have their panties in a bunch because they now have Windows 7. Several of them have admitted to not reading the emails. Sorry folks. We told you, if you didn't read the emails that is not our problem!

Morning. In case anyone hasn't heard...huge riots in Vancouver last night. What a mess. le sigh*

My roommate and I were up late watching it on tv. It was outrageous. We live in Canada...what could you possibly have to act like that over? They were showing what is going on in Greece last night too on the news with the rioting there...at least there is something seriously wrong over there...Some people just want to see the world burn (because I like quoting Michael Caine in Batman)...

I don't really think that had anything to do with the game. That was people planning to start mayhem regardless of the outcome of the game. I think the loss got it to the point it did, but it would have started regardless. The really stupid thing about it was once they read the riot act and started getting organized to control the rioters, randoms were just hanging around downtown watching...wtf? go away. It was just ridiculous. An alcohol and drug fueled night of stupidity.

Did a easy 2hr trainer ride during the actual game last night and felt alright while I was on the trainer...mainly due to the pseudoephedrine and tylenol. Woke up this morning and that had dissipated so I am refueling. I'll probably walk my long run later today...might jump on the trainer too this morning for another easy spin once my roommate wakes up. Need to do some laundry too. I'll be heading back to Edmonton tomorrow after the lab for my elective. 2 weeks in Edmonton and then back to Vancouver and Neal comes here!

The recruiter for the job that is almost an hour away emailed me back. They want me to come down tomorrow for an onsite interview. I really think I don't want to drive that far, even though I desperately want to get out of here. I don't know what to do.

Kim is the expert on these issues, but I would go and see what it is all about. Let them know the commute is an issue. Maybe they can work with you.

I told them I wasn't interested. They had made it clear earlier that I was expected to be on-site. They are still paying me t come here, so I'll keep looking.

Melindy - Glad to know that you are okay.  Hope they get Vancouver all cleaned up for Neals visit.

Anne - Hard to know what to do sometimes about jobs.  If the commute was going to be a big issue, then you did the right thing by stopping the interviews now.

Robin - Hope all went well with your mothers dr visits and hope you are having a good visit with her.

Amy - Have fun with the pool tri this weekend.  You are going to be busy.
