Used the race as an excuse to go out there to visit my sister. My mom and children are here visiting too. OK folks, for someone who will gladly swim/bike/run for hours on end, I am horribly lazy. So since I am too lazy to look at all of your logs...tell me... Who's racing this weekend??? OK, I'll go first. Dave, Chris (my DH) and I are all racing at Bigfoot this weekend. Super excited because we are staying at a hotel with a water park so it's fun for the kids too. Boys are doing the OLY, I'm doing the sprint, because I wasn't quite ready for 1500m swim, and because it's what I do. I love the idea of going long, but I'm not that good at it. Sprinting is for me! Anyway, 'fess up, what's on tap for the weekend? Q Mike- dd you ship your bike? or are you renting? enjoy your race/time out there. Want to go out there some day. I HAVE to see a game in Fenway! |

How is the recovery going for you? As far as racing this weekend; I am not. Are you? To be hoenst, I tried to convince my wife to go with me to Pleasant Prairie for their Tri on Sunday as an Anniversary (which is Sunday) gift for me; didnt go over so well when I said I wanted to race it.
Matt- Ha I know this one! I've tried this sort of thing. Ya doesn't go over too well. But kudo's to you for trying it. |

I'm sure he will find a home that will love him like you guys did. I hope you daughter is okay, that really sucks. All is well around here...biking...swimming and doing my Orangetheory class...but no running...boooooooo:-( PF sucks! I don't know how to make it better and it's really causing me aggravation...agh. I have a sprint tri on 7/22 which I will do even if I have to crawl....oh yeah....Los cabos IM is sounding sooo good! But I must wait to hear if my nephew is getting married in March or September...lolLove to all!Alicia You are never lying about the PF. I'm ready for a foot transplant. Uuggh. Some days I think it's much better and then days like today I couldn't even walk one mile on the treadmill. It was like stepping on razor blades. If I find the magic cure, you'll be the first to know- lol. Shelly |

Expert 750 Hammond | Subject: RE: Oriolepwr and QuincyF's Magical Mys-tri Tour "The Sequel" -On Tour!! DaDooRunRun - 2012-06-19 9:08 PM OK...well this is lame and cool all at the same time. I told you guys the little Tri I did a few weeks ago was very small and they didn't give us division place info? Well they finally did. Here's the cool part... I won my division! The lame part...well, I was first of four...so I'm not sure how huge the accomplishment is, but winning anything is cool! And for my accomplishment, I win a pair of socks from Runner's Forum. How hilarious is that?!?! Overall for women I was 5th out of 15. Again, sort of cool, sort of lame! The Tri on 6/24 is out for me, unfortunately. DH is travelling this week, my girls are in musical theatre camp which is causing me to get to work late/leave early a bunch of times, 16 y/o pain in the arse son is making me crazy, plus we have a 24 hour Relay For Life event on Saturday into Sunday. I just can't make it work this week, much as I would like to. Soooo...I'm on the hunt for another race I can do in July/August. Still excited to capitalize on the positive vibes involved with slaying the dragon swim. BTW...I was so wrapped up in my own accomplishment that I forgot to mention that both my girls did the Kid Tri the same day I did. They both were awesome and my 8-year-old, Liza, won her division too! We Petersson women are FIERCE! Very proud of both of them! Had a good fast run today. Taking a day off tomorrow and looking forward to another good run super early Thursday AM. Take care everyone! There is nothing lame about this. I am so excited for you! First of anything is still first. AWESOME accomplishment- revel in it. And please tell your girls congrats on racing and Liza on winning. Yep- some fierce women and girls there! Shelly |

As a three time cancer survivor, I sure appreciate those of you who participate and raise money for cancer research. I was able to give the opening ceremonies speech several years ago and then led the survivors lap for our Relay and it was such a special night. I still get goose bumps walking that survivor lap. We finally are moved in to our place in Ocean Springs, and back from our summer outings. I think I have run a total of 10 miles in the last three weeks...no biking and no swimming!! Needless to say, I have some work to do. I'm still going through posts from the past few weeks, but it sounds like people are getting some good racing in. Good job to everyone who has raced, good luck to the racers this weekend, and good resting to those who are partially sidelined...it will get better!! |

We are meeting at 7 AM, and heading out at 7:30 AM (meeting at North Beach, Barker Street and Lake Michigan). I'm going to swim in Lake Michigan after the ride if anyone wants to join me. All are welcome (you don't have to be racing Racine), and it should be a lot of fun. 3 WEEKS to GO!!! (July 15th) Rob Edited by Turner100 2012-06-24 11:48 AM |

New jobs are keeping me busy and I think I caught the blahs from Jacki I think. Just didn't feel like training, then regretted that I didn't, then still didn't do it. @#$@#%%$%@!! Anyway, got in an hour bike ride this morning and plan on running and swimming tomorrow. 4 weeks from today in the NJ state TRI, sprint on sat, oly on sun. I'm scheduled for the sprint and volunteering for the oly. I'm almost able to run none stop for 2 miles, so I am making progress, cycling is getting easier and faster. The more I think about it, the more I think I panicked in the wetsuit. Fortunately it will be July in NJ and hot for a lake swim. Congrats to all who raced this weekend. May the Legs be with You! Since I started biking outdoors on weekends I've discovered a lot of "hidden beauty" in my area that I wouldn't have otherwise. I'm really blessed to have good riding around here. Kind of wish I had started this long ago. |
