barqhead - 2008-02-24 8:37 PM Yay!!! Now if we can get Judi, Sal and Kendra well and Dee off work things might be happy in Nibbinsville!

That's my wish.  Who needs world peace or ending world hunger if we can't have that first?

Just got back from running. This is the fastest long run I've done - about 11:00/mile for 7.5 miles. I'm pretty excited. Feeling a lot more confident about my half-mary in a few weeks.

Congratulations!

Very nice!

And Beth - we have to get her a private plane, so she doesn't have to waste Nibbs time while sitting in the airport!

Um, well... I dunno. If we had world peace and ended world hunger.... that might be a good thing....

Actually, if we had those things, then I could quit my job and move to another country. LOL!

Of course there's no world outside Nibbinsville.

There's here. And there's a giant void.

Which means, you're either here, or.....

Thanks, my plan tomorrow is to call my allergist if the peak flow is as bad as today's to get some steroids in ASAP. I despise taking them, but I feel so wiped out that I'm willing to do it to knock this carp out of the system. It's bad when a long soak in the tub with jets on eases the soreness in the upper back only as long as the bath...

I just saw your blog. It sounds like the flu -- except that you don't have a fever.

I hear you on the steroids. I despise them too. But sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Besides, you'd only be on them until you were better....

Well that would get you on Nibbs more often, so that would work out well.

Hello, hello, hello
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?

Come on, come on down,
I hear you’re feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.

Relax, relax, relax
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying.

When I was a child, I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I’ve got that feeling once again.
I can’t explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.

I have become comfortably numb.

[guitar solo]

I have become comfortably numb.

OK, OK, OK
Just a little pin .
There’ll be no more, aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh,
But you may feel a little sick.

Can you stand up, stand up, stand up.
I do believe it's working good.
That’ll keep you going for the show.
Come on, it’s time to go.

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying.

When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look, but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child has grown, the dream is gone.

I have become comfortably numb.

I'm back now.

Anyone else watching the Oscars?  We're currently 20 minutes behind because we Tivoed the fashion part and I wanted to watch that first.  Tivo is awesome.  It would have sucked to watch that live.

Nope. I can never stay up until the end and I usually haven't seen the movies, so I skip the Oscars.

Jon Stewart is awesome.  That's mostly why we're watching.  We skip a lot of it.

I watched the AMGEN Tour of California.

Even on a "noneventful day," that would MUCH more interesting than the Oscars will EVER be.
