Our favorite is a fredonia wine from a vineyard near my mother-in-law's. I also like cabernets ... Smooking Loon is my favorite wine store variety. I'm not much of a fan of concord, but my spouse likes it.

My parents had stock in a winery somewhere near Fredonia. I don't remember which one. We stopped in a bunch of the wineries around the Finger Lakes while my brother was in school at Hobart. My dad used to work in Dunkirk, too, so we had excuses to go hopping around!

went for the superest easy of runs yesterday, but took 55 minutes. No pain this morning, just a little bit of stiffness, so it appears the rest, stretching and stregthening are doing their job. Knock on wood (wooden coffins, that is)

YAY!!!

Better run and get a shower.  Have to take Liam to school soon.  Gonna look at the table he busted his head on.  Not happy he split his noggin open at school.  It's a special ed class w/integrated peers.  Shouldn't have tables where kids are crackin heads open.  Of course it could be my kid is a klutzo and it was just a freak accident.  Just want to make sure!  See ya!

Hmm, hope it was nothing. Kids can ALWAYS find the one place that will hurt them. Otherwise, sic Mila on them - she writes great letters! hee hee

Yep, back to normal now. I'm still behind on spankings though... Need some volunteers to help me get caught up.

Hmm, still not convinced you are feeling better - here, let me feel just to make sure...

I went for a hike this weekend. I'm debating whether or not to count it for this challenge. I'm pretty far behind in the challenge right now, so maybe I should count it, but the challenge is really for running and I'm already counting my creak-out-of-bed-after-hike walk the next morning.

Nice! I'm going backpacking for 4 days in 2 weeks, and I'm super excited about it. I'm going for 3 days in November as well. One of my life-long goals is to someday through-hike the AT. Bad thing is that it takes about 6 months to do it, but that would be one hell of an adventure.

JEALOUS!!! I was supposed to go backpacking (just one night) a couple weekends ago, but rain and 30-40 degrees nixed that real quick-like. Haven't been proper backpacking in far too long, though I came close in September.

I've always flirted with the idea of thru-hiking the AT, but finally decided that I'm just not the best company for 2100 miles. I'd like to section-hike all of it, and it would be wicked fun to join you for a week or two, but not the whole thing at once.

Had chicken brauts for dinner tonight. They were pretty good. Kids didn't like them though. They have no taste! That being said, they ate a ton of carrots tonight! No thanks!

Edited cause it said chicken brats, not brauts!  Undecided

Hmm, don't think I've had chicken brats (and I've always spelled it "brats" - it's from bratwurst!). Turkey, sausage, etc. Sorry they had no taste, bummer! I'm a big fan of brats, but they are Not Healthy!

What are those?

They are a type of sausage. Yummers. Generally far too salty.

OK, time for me to start post padding. I'm sitting at work waiting for all my morning consults to show up. I've noticed that whenever a new client books in a cat to be desexed, they don't show 90% of the time. Its very strange. So thats two appointments that haven't shown up today.

That's weird!

But you said "desexed" - heh heh, heh heh!

It's actually dinner time...family beckons. I've just snuck away to have a peek so this darn thread doesn't run away again and I can never catch up. My mother is round for dinner as she is every Tuesday so posting time is limited!

I'll never be as good a post padder motivator as some of the members of this team tho'.

Mmmm hmmm... especially to schools who are not doing what they should be, and especially when that compromises safe and effective educational environments.  OK, so I've never had to mediate a "sharp table" case but there's a first for everything!

Yeah, I've always thought the AT hike would be cool, too... but doesn't look like it's gonna happen anytime in my near future.  I like the section hike plan, though.  I should be hitting the AT soon... love to go when the leaves change.  And no, they really haven't started changing much here yet!

Okay, so I didn't get the best look at the table yesterday because my kid goes and face plants on the sidewalk!  What is going on???  He has a new nickname, Stitch.  He's usually not my klutzy, accident prone kid so I am not sure what to think.  I do think the classroom is fine, he just had a freak accident.  Crazy!

Not much happening here today.  I'm kind of bored, already!  I have some housework to do this morning and then off to the fabric store to get a new pattern for my daughters saint costume.  Yippee.  I also need to find some cowboy guns for the boys costumes.  Should be fun!
