disturbed275 - 2009-12-09 1:06 PM Hi ghoulies!  I'm still stuck at home.  Apparently we've gotten anywhere from 12-17 inches of snow depending on who you ask.  My landlord has done nothing to clear out the parking lot and there's still a huge drift in front of my garage.  That and the drift in front of the front door has gotten much deeper.  Any thoughts of getting to work or the gym are definitely off the table.  I might have to invest in a shovel if this is the sort of snow removal service my landlord is going to provide.

I did manage an ST session so I didn't feel like a complete slug today.  But now it's time to head back to the couch and throw in another movie

SUCKTASTIC.  but all the more reason to snuggle up w your blankie.

im gonna start calling your SCHROEDER.

'member him.

what movies did you take in today, while you were hunkered?
stacieb

Let's see.  I took in the new Star Trek, Angels and Demons, Monsters vs. Aliens, Spaceballs....hmm there may have been another 1 or 2, but I'm not thinking straight.  I also managed to download the BL finale and watched that too.  Oh, and there was plenty of napping done in between showings.  I haven't had a lazy day like that in a looooong time.

nice list of features.

btw.

how was the new Star Trek?

Ok, looks like the Ghoulies have retired for the night...although Dee may still be lurking about.  I did a *speed read* of today's chat and will summarize the following:

- Stacie will make a great life coach....even if she has the occasional *sucktastic* day

- Bill is enjoying his new status as *Dorkface* and is going to shape up the slacker teenager population.

- Ann and Dee are helping Bill get straight on his priorities and *duties*

- Melissa is making all of us envious with her return to competitive swimming.  (got time to coach in between med school demands??????)

- Neal is tucked up under his Hawkeye aka Linus blankie until the blizzard abates.

- And last but not least, Robin won the best decorated House in the Valley!!!!

- Kim (who wasn't chatting today) spent the afternoon with lawyers (albeit very cool ones that she likes working with) and the evening at her forgotten company holiday party.

If I missed anyone, my apologies.  I will not be summarizing on a regular basis.

thanks KIM.  i really appreciate it!

skrtrnr - 2009-12-09 4:10 PM alrighty.

i feel the need to 'cleanse' my SUCK A RIFFIC DAY!

heres the math.

1 broken zipper on my running tights
+
1 melted lid to my fuel belt bottle so the lid doesnt fit anymore
+
1 replacement non-fuel belt specific bottle that POPPED OPEN every time i took a drink
+
1 iPod that sat on the charger last night and didnt charge....wtFLIP?
+
6 mile run that ended up being 6.8 miles cuz i took a 'wrong turn'
+
4-5-6 (i lost count) 'walk breaks' in my 6.8 cuz i felt so friggin sh^tastic
+
0 gatorade cuz my kids drank my last bottle even i expressly told them NOT too
+
12 swedish that did f-ing nothing to help me, fuel-wise.
=
THE MOST SUCK A RIFFIC RUN TO DATE.

add to that....heading to the Y after my run.  doing my ST session (which went 'fine') then heading off to take a shower, only to find that i forgot my UNDERGARMENTS.

yep.  no guchies and no brassier.

WTFRIGGING FLIP???

went to the chiropractor afterwards.  (wont tell ya what i did to do w/out undies and brassier)

the doctor asked how i was doing.

and i literrally started to cry on the table.

fortunately i was face down.

he asked if there was anything they could do.

yay.

DO YOU HAVE AN ADJUSTMENT FOR A FRIGGING SUCKTASTIC DAY?

they were fresh out.

damnitall.

but again.  like i said. i came home.  and read the posts from this afternoon.  the SUCK evaporated INSTANTLY.

YOU SERIOUSLY MADE MY DAY.

and in retrospect.

im uber PROUD of me.

though there were MANY REASONs to just quit and call it day, i stuck it out and finished the run.

and some things are important

just to finish.

todays run was one of those things.

yay me!

Holy smokes Stacie!  That's a lot going wrong in one day.  Way to weather the storm and I'm so glad the ghoulies managed to turn things around for you and put a smile on your face.  The village is good like that.

you so right NEAL.....a lot goin' wrong.  after awhile i started laughing hysterically thinking, whats next??  it was literally one thing after the other....

and the Village IS good like that.

better to come here, then end up in a padded room, i always say.

The finale was good.  I was very impressed with some of the contestants.  There were a few you could hardly recognize.  It's impressive what people can do when they really put their mind to it.

Bill is not tough - Bill is not real smart like you!

I cross country skied in those type of temperatures 1 day last winter.  It was nice in the trees but I came to the open meadow to return to my car and man did it get cold on my forehead real fast!

Ouch!  I'm not that smart... I ran out of time to dry my hair this morning so my wet hair froze to the inside of my hat...Thank goodness I can rock the ponytail today!
