The fire across the valley is still burning. The top 1/2 of the mountain was in flames last night. They are saying that it will be 1000 to 1500 acres before they can get it under control.. if they can get it controlled today or tomorrow.

Did you guys pick an east coast race to do while you were in Carlsbad?

I know the Marine Corps Marathon and 10K were discussed awhile back. Registration for the marathon opens on Feb 23rd this year in case anyone is interested.

No we didn't . We were looking into warm weather runs for the winter time but never figured one out. We were also looking at the HM distance. I am not sure why just HM. I know that I will probably never have time to train for a marathon, personally. But I have no problem being a Sherpa.

I need to decide if that's the marathon I want to run or not, and I need to decide soon. I should have plenty of time to get back in shape between now and then. I'm just not sure yet what I want to do.

I really don't know if I will be able to make anything in Jan-Feb.

I'm on my psych rotation at the time so it depends on the call schedule, etc. My only known breaks that I will be able to get away for sure are beginning of Oct and end of March.
